I mean I am rooting for Mayock but I’m also just gonna laugh if he has a catastrophic failure thinking he can make actual good GM decisions under pressure and negotiate shrewdly with other teams, just because he hypothesized these things in media fantasies and got a lot of hype for it.

It’s crazy though how connections will get you anywhere. He only became a GM and an NFLN scout because he was rubbing elbows with all kinds of coaches and scouts and GMs around the league.

He seemed like a mostly normal dude

 

Dude he does not give a fuck. He gets rid of players before they are a problem to the team and has a replacement already drafted and coached up. I love it. Top 5 coach.

 

But yeah. Things like... making savvy & informed trades... handling players with bad attitudes.... these are things a GM does that you can’t just do just because you make clever mock drafts.
