I actually don't know about that with the secondary. He's done a good job with the defense but that's still the iffiest part to me and idk if I'd let Byron go based off that.

Also I wouldn't let him go regardless though so idk.

He was amazing for 3/4 of last season but “just” good otherwise. The other guys are young and have looked very promising, so I’m hopeful for their development.

 

Yeah but the other guys have been "just" good at best IMO so that's kinda where I'm conflicted

Yeah it really wouldn’t surprise me to see the saints at 9-7 or 10-6, on the outside looking in. NFC South could be interesting

 

Sure, they could plateau at where there at, no doubt about it. I just trust Richard and Marinelli to continue finding and developing guys from seemingly out of thin air, haha

 

That's why I was mad the Texans went out and got shit players last offseason (and was surprised the Colts didn't really go out and get anyone majorly impactful)

 

Saints have the best roster in the league top to bottom IMO

 

I'll believe it when I see it for longer than Jones's elite stretch haha. I don't think it's like Pittsburgh's OL/WR development quite yet.

 

My hopeful prediction has been Cowboys/Saints in the NFC Championship this year and then who knows where it goes, so I’ll stick with that.

 

What sucks is the Falcons aren’t far behind

I think we're still understating how good the Patriots roster is top to bottom which sucks

 

I really don’t think the Falcons have a great roster. Sure, their offense looks good, but their defense has some major concerns

 

I think their defensive roster looks great and their defensive coaching has not lived up to that roster

They’ve got Grady Jarrett, Deion Jones, Desmond Trufant, and Keanu Neal, but who else do they have? Vic Beasley has been a disappointment for two seasons now. Hasn’t Takk McKinley disappointed thus far as well? How does the secondary perform aside from Trufant? Neal and Ricardo Allen are coming off major injuries. Are they just gonna be 100% right off the bat? Will another corner step up as their CB2? I’m just concerned about their pass rush and coverage

 

I like the Falcons roster but I’d agree they aren’t quite there. I hate being in that division. Saints are great. Falcons aren’t far behind them. Panthers will be better. Bucs will be better.

The Bucs actually have a pretty solid roster. We’ll definitely get a final verdict on Winston now that Arians is there. I think he’ll have a good season but I still don’t like him overall.
