  1. If they knew how to do things right they’d have won a playoff game this decade

How many QB’s does Miami have on the roster? 2 or 3? I could see them trying to trade Rosen if a starter on another team goes down. Wasn’t sure why they traded for him during the draft and I’m even more confused why they have him now.

True. and they wouldnt have traded for and then immediately given up on Rosen. But the talent is there for them to make the best of this move.

maybe Rosen isn't good enough? he absolutely deserves to start as he has been better than Fitz this preseason but its whatever. Its clear this season doesnt matter anyways.

what "higher picks" have they spent on OL recently? They just picked Deiter, OK.

I am already on record as not being a huge fan of this trade. But none of it matters until you find the QB.

I'm not sure what Grier/Flores have to do with turds such as Jeff Ireland, Joe Philbin, Adam Gase, and Mike Tannenbaum

    its a different regime

I'm not sure how they have "already given up on Rosen" by announcing Fitz is starting game 1

do you guys really think it'd be a good idea to throw Rosen to the wolves with this offense?

I think it's a bad idea to have Josh Rosen on your football team

I was not a fan of that trade when it happened so I am whatever on it

its clear they are going to draft a guy in the top 5 this spring

They're drafting a QB this year. So trading for Rosen was pointless. Hes good. I hope he goes to the Pats so Anton can shut up and lose to him.

He’s had trouble staying healthy... so I guess it’s good to get something for him.

They used a 7th on Ulysses Gilbert and he made the team

    It’s true.

Apparently the Steelers roster currently has 15 undrafted guys on it. That’s crazy. That’s more than a 1/4 of the team.

Now, I don’t claim to have any professional experience with building an NFL roster.

But for teams like the Dolphins, who are clearly in rebuilding mode, why trade away young talent like Tunsil, instead of using him it’s a central piece to rebuild around? Why trade for a promising young QB and then not use him?
Is it just so management can have “their guys” or is draft capital really that enticing?

I agree with the general premise of what you're saying. If it was up to me, I would have kept Tunsil and extended him early just like they did with Xavien Howard

However, its all about the QB. It doesn't matter who the LT or WR is if you don't have the QB. To me, they could have tanked even while keeping Tunsil, but idk.

Most of the league wide experts seem to think Miami did pretty well with this trade. At least they got a great return.

My guess. in addition to what @xbrokendownx said, is if trading your LT means more shots at getting your guy, then it's worth the price

    ALSO

worth noting that if Tua is really who they want (and thats what it sounds like), he is a lefty. Which would make RT a "higher priority"

The return is definitely good. Hopefully the draft picks turn out.

LTs don’t just grow on trees, and it feels like a crapshoot using a draft pick on one with you had a generation talent in your pocket.
