Right, and I certainly don’t fault them for that. I think they are doing the smart thing in trying to deal him, although I agree that it should have been done much earlier than now. Now, what will they receive in return will determine if it was ultimately a smart decision or not

I mean, idk, he can try but it would rub me the wrong way as a GM to see work ethic / humility be a problem for him for 4 years, to be disappointed in his output for a guy you drafted to be an elite pass rusher, and then have him demanding elite pass rusher money like he lived up to the hype when he didn’t even come close.

 

I was very afraid of Clowney sacking us 2-3 times a game when they drafted him. Now I hardly worry that he’ll even get 1.
