Clowney is not one of the 50 best players

 

These guys only get to play for such a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things. I’m not going to look down on Clowney for wanting to play for a team that can compete at this point in his career, as the next time he hits FA he will likely be on the downslope of his career

 

Maybe those are two places that would be on his free agency list idk

 

Final question: Then why wouldn't he just play for us to raise his free agency value so when he hits the market he's coming off a better season

Can he negotiate a long term deal with a team that trades for him once he signs the tag? That could be it for security/injuries and what not. Maybe he’s just big mad that he couldn’t be a free agent this summer. maybe he hates Bill O’Brien!
