He may have grown up since his time at USC, but he's always wanted to be treated like the most important person in the room. That's how Steve Spurrier got him to come there.

The scheme probably has very little to do with it. Flores, if he's anything like Belichick, won't allow that me first shit to go down so Clowney may have been rubbed the wrong way.

like I said, I am more than content with keeping all our picks and extending Tunsil and just riding this season out. The defense is 1-2 more players away from being really good and if Clowney doesnt want to be a part of that, he can fuck off

Why is anyone shocked and condemning a player who doesn’t want to play for a bad team that it wouldn’t be surprising to be bad for the next few years to come?

 

the Dolphins could pay him whatever he realistically wanted. They have more cap space than they can even spend, especially considering they won't need to pay a QB for awhile

that said, he is far and away the best EDGE guy in next year's FA class

 

if a good player on another team came out and basically said 'fuck the Eagles I'm not playing there' I am sure you would be defending him

Like there's no way we should be putting up with this. It's not giving chances to Kubiak after vanilla-ish seasons, it's taking the source of our problems and being like "here, be in charge of everything". So there's GOTTA be a longterm strategy there right?
