I’m 100% here for turn based Yakuza

 

As someone who has never even heard of Risk of Rain, what sort of game is it? What is it similar too?

Ugh I had to go to my job and help hurricane proof the office so im just playing now, im so happy about it already, things get chaotic QUICK and its awesome. Only thing I was worried about was the controls and they are SUPER tight, i thought it would be hard to aim in a 3d environment and its just perfect.

 

Yeah it's a roguelike (coop optional but thats rare for a roguelike) game has characters each with 4 abilities that are VERY different from each other, theres no story but the goal is to reach a portal on the map randomly placed and when you reach the portal you fight a boss so you dont want to go right to the portal you want to grind for money in order to buy new buffs/upgrades (which are random) and then fight off the boss.They have a pretty genius system though where the longer you take the harder the game gets overall so you need to find the perfect balance of grinding but not waiting too long. Its real fun man. Haha.

UNTITLED GOOSE GAME SEPTEMBER 20TH Y'ALL

 

Beat God of War 3 today. I liked it a lot! Now back to re-playing Hollow Knight.

So I've finally played as much as Nier as I can. Finished 5 playthroughs and after the 3rd it's a completely different game. The music, the story, the characters and the gameplay were 10/10 and it really is a masterpiece. Your perspective really changes after the 2nd play through and you begin to get a much larger and complete story than was presented in play through 1.

Onto Monster Hunter World now. Very different from Nier but I hope I can get as immersed into it as I did prior.

RoR2 is perfect. Huge update coming soon too which is gonna add a lot to the game. It is also fucking HARD. fuck yeah #roguelife

 

I remember playing all the Drakengard games when I was younger (had no idea until recently they were connected) and had no idea of multiple endings. Nier was such a great game that was genuinely such fun to play, a mashup of genre action and it tugged a little at the heart strings. Im really interested in the future of the franchise. Thanks for convincing me to play a few endings!
