This is horrible. I'm glad I teach seventh grade; doing these drills with younger kids has to be a nightmare.

Even knowing that the drills are coming at least half the time, I'm still in a panic that I've locked the door and all the other crap we need to do. It might be the worst part of the job.

I don’t know that I want to have kids personally, but it’s not at all wrong to have children lol for starters, even in the face of everything happening very soon in the future, having children is an expression of hope about that future being made different - saying one shouldn’t have children because the future will be bad isn’t far off, to me, from saying “we should be ending our lives now, the future is getting worse all the time,” or that continued existence is morally bankrupt. If we want to do anything to help change the course of the future, we will need good people to be here. The idea that we should force humanity to end in a generation or two by not having children because it might end in a few generations feels death cult-y.

Trump is going to lose the election and fight against leaving the White House because he knows he’ll be arrested on state charges like immediately.

 

I like how Trump keeps floating the idea that he should be given extra time over being investigated. Dude knows his window to being re-elected is closing so now he’s gonna make up any excuse he can think of to try and convince his human orc followers that he should treated like a child

 

I still worry that he will lose re-election but won't concede and allege voter fraud, and will try to do something crazy to hang on to power for as long as possible, especially since he faces state charges. I fully expect him to fight the "peaceful transition" of power tradition as much as he possibly can.

 

There's no doubt that if he loses he'll allege massive voter fraud, considering he even did it when he WON THE ELECTION
