I think you’re way more likely to see him in the Kenobi series.

Oh yeah. Kinda blends together. Will say the worst visuals are when Anakin is trying to balance on that creature like an asshole.

And hell yes to the sound of the bombs.

I haven't seen the prequels in a very long time but I literally grew up with them so I'm sure they'd still hold nostalgic value for me

1 holds nostalgic value for me. somehow 2 was so bad that I immediately didnt like it at age 11.

I LOVED 1 and really dug 2 when it came out. I remember feeling underwhelmed by 3, probably because I was a bit older and could see the cracks starting to show in Lucas's vision by that point.

It's been a good while since I watched the prequels but I feel like TPM is the one that probably holds up the most? I feel it has the lowest lows (Jar Jar) but also the highest highs of the prequels (a few good practical effects, podracing, the lightsaber duel).

Episode 3 was one of the most incredible theater experiences I ever had in my life. Up there with TFA. I can't wait to see how TROS will be.

If this turns into a discussion on practical effects I will throw myself into an active volcano so I can live that Anakin life. Jesus. Please stop now before this turns into a thing.

Cool. Can’t say I’ve heard this perspective before. Would you still rank 3 last even now? 3 seems to be the generally agreed upon best Republic Era movie (yea I’m using the new jargon now)

Opening night of Episode III the theater lost power halfway through. Someone came in, told us to leave and come back for the same time showing the next day. Had to wait 24 hours and rewatch the first half to see the whole thing. I always low key worry it’ll happen again when I’m watching new Star Wars film.

  11. I've said it many times in here already but despite the fact the prequels are terrible, I'm glad they exist since they provided the Clone Wars series which gave us some of the best characters in Star Wars.

I'm not sure what the issue would be about discussing practical effects

George Lucas walked so Marvel could run. I'm just not interested in seeing a discussion on "practical effects, real sets," for the millionth zillionth time but go off.

I appreciated the prequels for how many unique planets there were. Practical effects are cool, but there’s only so many versions of Snow, Desert, Forest I can handle.

Why would an entire planet just be one thing?

Lucas and JJ are both guilty of it.

The whole one environment per planet is just a fun little part of Star Wars to me. Like even instead of just having a city on one planet, they just straight-up made the whole planet a city. It's goofy, but I love it.

Naboo is probably Lucas’s best attempt at a diverse biome.

I mean it makes a little sense because the further it would be from the sun it would be more likely but I don’t think beings would live there. It doesn’t bother me though.

I find Ryloth from the EU/Legends an interesting planet. It was half super hot and half super cold.

Because it’s simpler and because in a universe that takes place across an entire galaxy it’s more fun to go to different planets rather than spend too much time on one planet like earth with different environments.

I have a friend that swears people don't like the prequels because of revisionist history and the RLM reviews. I'm like no, friend. They were widely panned when they were released and they're still bad.

I don’t really mind one environment planets, I just find a lack of creativity when we’re just getting rehashed environments that are considered different planets. Like, there’s no reason for Jakku to exist.
