I'm so confused as to why that's news. I feel like they've been pretty clear that's what was happening since the beginning? Unless that was just what I figured it would be based on the everything about this.

So, this is 100% gonna connect w/ disenfranchised young white men in the worst way, right?

I still love the character design & love how bizarre, unlike any other comic book film, this looks. But, I'm still unsure how the story is gonna land. Pretty wide range of possibilities there.

If it's not awful, I hope it's something that Sony learns from as it continues to experiment w/ how to use its Spider-Man film rights.

 

I dunno. If this wasn’t The Joker I would be more interested.
