I could easily do without both joke tracks. I don't know why they didn't just throw them up on their Youtube channel instead of actually putting them on the album...

Especially with the guitars going strong on the outro, should've just ended it there.

Yeah it's kind of awkward, not just because it's a joke song but California just puts you in a good mood and cools you down from listening to the whole CD then they just speed you back up for 30 seconds and it just ends.

I actually really dig the music from Brohemian and wish it wasn't a joke song haha. But yeah, I agree. If anything, make them secret songs that play 10 minutes after the album ends or something.

What do you want me to say exactly? I don't think it's a sexist song. Move on with your life. I don't share your opinion, it has no bearing on my life.

  7. Song is gross for sure but honestly it probably is best to move on, no need for this to turn into something else.

Hate to jump back into this but you have to take the lyric within the context of the song.

It's understood, I said it many ways
Too scared to run, I'm too scared to stay
I said I'd leave, but I could never leave her
And if I did, you know I'd never cheat her
But this I ask, it's what I want to know
How would you feel, if I should choose to go
Another guy, you think it'd be unlikely
Another guy, you think he'd want to fight me
    She's a dove, she's a fucking nightmare
Unpredictable, it was my mistake to stay here
On the go and it's way too late to play
I need a girl that I can train
I heard it once, I'm sure I heard it twice
My dad used to give me all of his advice
He would say you got to turn your back and run now
Come on son, you haven't got a chance now

Once again - the song isn't about training a girl. It's about being frustrated with an emotional girl that he likes/loves. He doesn't want to actually train her - he is throwing up his hands and saying - well shit... I wish I just had a girl that didn't have all these complications.

I was listening to the album yesterday and was thinking how we are in this kind of "90's resurgence" where the powers that be are polishing off all of the pop-culture artifacts of the 90s so that younger Gen Xers and older Millennials can empty their wallets. We got Jurassic World, Independence Day Resurgence, Blink 182, Power Rangers Reboot, Fuller House, X-Files mini series, what am I missing?

Furthermore, how fucking depressing is it going to be for all of us when they start bringing back pop culture touchpoints from like 2007? Like when they reboot Mad Men or the Taken series or something.

Enjoy it now while the marketing powers that be appeal to us... and yes that day will be sad when the nostalgia focus shifts to late 2000's. I think I'll officially feel old then.

It caught me off guard the other day when it was mentioned Cheshire Cat came out over 20 years ago.

Yeah - I realized my first concert/blink show was in 1997. Still seeing blink 19-20 years later. Fuck.

It's going to be interesting to watch. I feel like a common cultural zeitgeist that we enjoyed in the 90s (bands everyone liked, movies everyone saw etc...) is kind of deteriorating. Everything is so niche right? Culture is so disposable now, I don't feel like bringing back pop culture from the mid-2000s will have the same impact on millennials as it did for 80s and 90s kids.

Dude come on, that guy may be wrong about the song's lyrics, but this comment was uncalled for.
