Why is there no Apple Music tab in iTunes? You have to click "new" to get to Apple Music on desktop, that's just stupid lol.

Finally caved in and installed Beta 2. I must say it is quite stable on my 6S. I still hate the new Apple Music design though. The words are too big. I can adjust the size of the letters in settings, but then they'll be too small in the rest of the OS...

Also, why can't I choose who appears in the Messages 3D Touch menu? That always bugged me in iOS 9. At least on Phone it shows your first four favorites so you can choose who appears there.

I believe it just defaults to your last three conversations, in alphabetical order.

I don't think so, for some time it showed a person I hadn't texted in a while.

use search when in your library. it's really the best way. iTunes refresh is coming later this year.
I personally REALLY like the new iOS 10 Apple Music so maybe they'll nail that one too.

  7. Cause all of iTunes is "Apple Music" when it's enabled ... no reason to click anything to "get" to Apple Music ... opening iTunes is Apple Music.

Oh my god I installed beta 2 and the new music app is so bad! It's literally worse in every way...I don't understand why you would make me click more to do the same things...the default "Library" page is so worthless!!

  9. I think the new Music app is better in virtually every single way I use it ... what's worthless about the library page ... it's your library, you scroll, you tap, you listen.

Honestly out of all the music apps it is easily the best. Especially the way I listen to my music. All hail Recently Added.

I just want all the artists sitting right like they have been since forever. The giant recently added is neat but where it was in the last version was better. Also I preferred hitting the artist's picture in the artist list to start playing all of their music, or hitting the album art to start listening to that album immediately was nice. It just feels weird I have to keep clicking through to just get things to play. Also when I'm deep in an artist's I like to click the "library" button but now it brings me back to the library page and I have to click the artists again :\

It's minor but I also miss each album having their own little color theme, some were really neat. Overall the scale of each different view/page type in the app feels inconsistent too.

Think I should consider getting a totally upgraded MacBook Air or a semi upgraded MacBook Pro?

I've never done a beta iOS before but am strongly considering it this time... I wanna try the new Apple Music interface, among other things.

Question... is there an easy way to "downgrade" from a public beta of iOS if you experience a ton of problems and want to go back? I'm thinking I should be fine, but just want to be safe.

You'll be fine, because it's easily the most stable beta of a major OS release Ive ever seen.

That said, IF you need to downgrade, the only option is to DFU and restore from new or backup.

the only incompatibility when downgrading is your actual data/backup.

manually back your phone up via iTunes or turn iCloud Backup off after the upgrade so you can have a couple of days to dick around.

Honestly the most annoying bug I experience is that when you are typing something on a website, it will scroll to the bottom if you press backspace. Other than that there are small bugs and glitches happening sometimes but nothing too annoying.

I don't know how many people here have an Apple Watch, and are using the beat of watchOS 3, but they've really brought it along way from the earlier OS versions. I use activity literally everyday to track my fitness, and the new activity-based watch faces are so incredibly slick.

Hahah, I've always liked it, but felt like they could do...more. It's always going to be a small OS, but with the speed improvements, new watch faces (that fits my needs a little more) and the ability to write a text, I'm totally excited with the direction.
