and dizzy is easy contender for their best closer, just behind 23

When Jim did his solo tour last summer, he played Chase This Light, and I refuse to believe someone could not love that song after hearing it in that setting. I always liked he song, but it became my favorite on the album after that show. I don't know why, exactly, but seeing a song in a little different light can change it forever. For me at least.

I put Mixtape right behind 23. It doesn't touch 23, but it's still a fantastic closer and their second best

Firefight is a nice "heavy" song to add to CTLs diversity but its still prooooobably my least favorite song on that album.

A friend of ours went who was adamantly against the sort of music JEW plays. And he was absolutely blown away at how good Jim was. Just a mic and a guitar and a ton of gorgeous songs. Totally hooked my buddy.

the thing about "mixtape" is that it follows "invented," one of the best songs theyve ever written. it just doesnt live up to the song that came before which often kind of kills closers for me

can we all agree 23 is their best closer?

Invented is the better song (though not by much), but I've always liked how Mixtape feels sorta... "tacked on" in a way. And that sounds negative, but I mean it as a compliment. It feels like an epilogue. Green Day's "Whatsername" is a really good comparison for the vibe both those songs give me.

Nah, I think the second best song on BA is either A Praise Chorus or Your House. I'd put My Sundown at 4 or 5

Don't agree with any song being better than 23. That's an acceptable opinion though, Ken

If a Praise Chorus is #2, what in the world is #1?
