I wonder if the Eagles will look at Kaepernick.

 

I watched those Haskins turnovers again, if he steps into that first throw he sails it over Wilson to his receiver perfectly but because he just stands there and tosses it it's an underthrow. It has a bortlesness about it. He can't do that. Maybe he forgot the play and thought his receiver was going to curl but that's also bad. You can't necessarily blame him, coming from Meyers spread offense and transitioning to Grudens mostly conservative pro-style isn't going to be easy or happen right away.

The second pick, just completely awful. Nothing redeeming about it. He looked like Winston or Manning when they try to throw a guy open in the middle of the field on a dime but don't even realize the safeties or ilb are just standing there waiting for it.

He did a lot of good things too, he played the most of any of the highly picked qbs so there's going to be mistakes. Jones and Murray will make those too when they get more snaps next game.

 

No team is even considering looking at Kaepernick, unfortunately.

 

I just watched the All or Nothing episode where they debate the pros and cons of signing Eric Reid. If that much consideration went into signing a safety, no team is even thinking about thinking about Kaep.

 

If Eric Reid didn't try to take out Wentz with a dirty hit last year I'd like the guy.

 

I'm pretty astounded that Mahomes is playing the entire first quarter tomorrow night.

 

Hate he went to the Panthers, really wanted the Saints to draft him.

The traits Daniel Jones was showing definitely translate to in game play though. There's reason to be excited for sure.

 

Yea, Murray will probably get sacked 30 more times before the end of the season

 

Daniel jones isn't going to have time to make those throws in the regular season, he's also going to see wayyyyy better defensive schemes than whatever the jets were doing last night. Russell Wilson is maybe the one preseason rookie qb who it was obvious he was going to be special.

 

Wasn't Daniel Jones playing against 2nd stringers though ?

 

I'm not sure, Eli only played three snaps.

 

I agree with half of that. I think he'll have time to make a lot of the throws he made (he didn't hold on to the ball THAT much) but that he'll definitely face better defensive schemes and defenses than the Jets defense from last night.

But a lot of his traits aren't necessarily indictments of bad defense.

For sure haha I could totally see the Giants just being like "fuck it" and starting Eli all year

 

Either way, I think Daniel Jones is set up for failure.
