Yea, I'll even say the Eagles had a below average season last year. The NFC East wasn't good last year.

 

That’s way too high of a bar as to what’s a good and/or successful season for me. Like, doesn’t that render every season that you don’t make the NFC Championship a bad season? That seems awfully pessimistic.

 

That legit could be just me though, to be clear.

 

I’m not going to say that the Cowboys shouldn’t re-sign Dak because, like @Dinosaurs Dish said, I think they are in a window and they have a ton of talent. Shoot your shot. I just feel like he’s going to be overpaid. They need to figure out a contract for Byron Jones too who I was really impressed with last year

 

And the NFC East had two top-12 teams in the league last year. That’s not bad.

 

Man, just looking at stats, there's no way you can argue to me that Wentz is more impressive.

 

I think he’s the odd man out, actually. He’s only had one great year so far and I think it’s too little too late, especially when we have multiple other better players that are due their money within a year or two.

 

I’d re-up Dak, Cooper, and Jones and not think twice about it

Luckily Jones isn’t due right now. He’s more gonna be “fighting” to get signed with Jaylon Smith and I’d easily sign Jaylon before Jones. There’s a couple other guys but they’re not as pressing. Once these other three are done, most everyone else is signed until like 2023 or something.

I’m mainly at the point where it’s like “fuck, just sign or don’t sign and move on” so we can focus on this season instead of prognosticating what could happen with their contracts.

I will admit though, Dallas absolutely smashed us when they came to Philly last year. I remember watching that and feeling like I just got punched in the mouth

I was cautiously excited. I was never sold on that trade because another slot WR wasn’t what we needed, but I was definitely ready for another infusion of talent to play alongside Ertz and Alshon
