I did this a few years ago at a Mustang car show in Minnesota, and afterwords some old geezer came up to me and was pissed I didn't take it off - "take it off next time!"

Why don't we take off all our clothes for the anthem? Why just the hat? So stupid

This is about the only subject I’m ever qualified to talk about but I have more of a problem with bars that have that many taps then I do people ordering bad beer to drink.
Unfortunately, the market speaks and it shouts IPA.
The joke in the industry is that people in craft beer complain about too many IPAs but when breweries make fantastic beer in other styles people STILL order the ipa because it “sells out fast so I have to get it” then never order the cool new beer. It’s a fascinating industry to be in.

I love the mental image of that guy acting like he’s being forced to drink craft beer. Like whenever he goes to a bar he’s trapped there until he downs an IPA. Welcome to Bernie’s America

Yuengling used to be such an easy choice to make for a cheap beer that tastes good, but then the CEO was a Trump supporter, so I think I’ve only had it once since 2016. A damn shame.

Also miller high life is the best shitty beer out there, not even close.

Also also, white claw is dominating the market nationally anyways. Number two brand in 2019 I believe behind blue moon and white claw outsold all alcoholic beverages on July 4th this year.

I wish more breweries put out more fall style beers year round. I know they can be a little heavy in the spring and summer but goddamn they’re so tasty.

I used to lovvvve winter warmers and winter lagers and Christmas ales and etc but I can’t do them as much anymore, they’re so heavy that I can only drink like one lol

I had to unfriend the brewer from a hype brewery in New York called Threes today because he shared a video about how great the Texas governor is and how millennials just don’t want to work hard because parents weren’t allowed to discipline them in the 80’s and 90’s.

Also a bar around here used to do $2 Rolling Rock draft all day every day and that wasn’t a bad choice for a shitty cheap beer honestly

I don't drink beer anymore, but when I did I have to admit I enjoyed certain crappy domestic beers just as much as well made craft beers, it just depended on what mood I was in or what I felt like at any given time.

Michelob was always my favorite of the old school domestic beers, but I haven't liked any single Michelob variant ever, from Light on down to whatever garbage they are making these days.

Rolling Rock is always a good choice as well. Every once in a while I will crave a Rolling Rock in a big green can when I'm grilling outside or sitting on a beach.

These days, just put me in an aisle of wine and let me rummage around for a few hours. More interesting to me.

I don’t mind it too much, it’s certainly much better than whatever comes in clear bottles

  21. Bubbling Up — Monthly Beer Sales Have Already Peaked; Not So for Hard Seltzer
According to an analysis tracking the past four years of sales logged by IRI, a market research firm that compiles scan data from chain stores, category leaders White Claw (owned by Mark Anthony Brands) and Truly (owned by Boston Beer), will hit their sales zeniths in August. For both brands, which together represent 85% of America’s hard seltzer market, it has been the top-selling month for three straight years.

The week of July 4 was the best seven-day stretch for White Claw and Truly last year, although August racked up 5.6% more sales than July in IRI-tracked grocery, convenience, and other stores. Over the last four years, both brands’ trajectories have continued to climb through Labor Day.

To give perspective on how much sales have grown since the bubbly, clear booze burst onto the scene in 2016, White Claw and Truly seltzers sold the equivalent of 1.4 million cases during this year’s July 4 week (which equates to roughly 102,000 barrels’ worth of product). That's almost half of what was sold in the entire month of June. (That combined production was roughly the same as the 29th-biggest craft brewery in the country last year, Rhinegeist Brewery.)

These numbers also highlight the seasonality of seltzer.
    Cool article.

Yeah. I assume they have a bunch of brewers so I don’t remember who it was but he was like head of creative something plus brewer.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

I have kids in 7th, 4th and 2nd grade this year. My 7th grader is at a different school than the others (middle school) and they just implemented a process to gain admittance into the school that rivals most businesses. You must have a badge, and you must get approved by the front desk who will unlock the door if not a student or employee of the school. I love this, and feel it can make it at the very least more difficult for a shooter to enter. This would not be an expensive solution (I don't think), and if it is so be it. At the elementary school where my other 2 are at, I could walk in holding a big bag from at least 3 different doors to gain entrance into the school and not get questioned by anyone. They are lenient with visitor badges, and are at a primary location for someone with ill intent to get past without any issue. I hate thinking this way, I am shaking just typing this and I don't know what to do about it.

  24. It fucking sucks that you even need to think about these things when sending your kids to school.

There’s countless white people out there who for some reason feel compelled to endlessly make and/or consume them and most are pretty much indistinguishable from each other
