I don't think it's been posted on here but Left Behind, I Am, Variais and Gideon have all posted tweets just saying "Kublai Khan" so maybe a tour?

You're in for a treat. Not sure what the crowd will be like since it's not one of their regular shows, but typically they are nuts live. In a 50 cap room, I can't even imagine.

Fucking mayhem, 18 minute set. It was really cool, but there was too much crowd killing. I could hear fists hitting flesh like 10 seconds into their set

Yeah that sounds about right for a Vein set. Fuck crowdkillers though. If you want to hit each other, have at it, but leave the innocent bystanders alone.

    Better music. More fans.

Really though, I don’t understand what The Word Alive has done wrong over the years, but they just don’t seem to have a large fan base. I See Stars has done a really good job selling tickets during their latest touring era despite making polarizing lineup changes. The Word Alive’s anniversary tour with Miss May i played the smaller venue within the same building that ISS played the larger room here in Detroit on their last headliner. I notice that TWA has done well with Spotify plays, but it doesn’t seem to always translate into ticket sales for them.

The real crime here is that Our Last Night is the band at the top of this tour bringing it all together. I’m legitimately annoyed that I’m going to have to give them my money if I want to see this show.... which I do because ISS/TWA is a dope combo.

That lineup happened in 2012 with OLN as the support act. Wow.

I remember a coheadliner with I See Stars/The Word Alive and then ISS taking out OLN on a tour and then TWA taking out OLN on a tour. Don’t recall that all three bands tour together on one tour.

Wow TWA headlined the Santa Ana venue like 3 years ago and now they're on support

OLN has been continuously pumping out covers of popular music all these years. They had a big tour supporting State Champs recently. I See Stars hasn’t been a huge name but they have kept a steady fan base and I think people in that scene view New Demons as kind of a classic album now too. They supported Dance Gavin Dance last year. I couldn’t tell you the last big support or headlining tour TWA did. I dunno. It’s weird. When OLN announced the venues for this tour I was surprised in the first place because they were pretty big. Now it makes more sense, but still pretty crazy.

I wonder what it's gotta be like knowing most of your audience only really knows your covers. Like I for the life of me could not name you one OLN original off the top of my head, but I could probably name you 5 covers they've done (some might be guesses but I'm sure they'd be right). I mean I guess at the end of the day they're getting paid, just seems like it would be a boring career as a musician to be popular for other people's songs.

weird thing to assume based solely on yourself.. I would assume most people paying to go see them this tour know some of their originals as well

I wouldn't doubt that there is fans of their originals. But I'm saying a vast majority of their overall audience is probably more receptive to the covers than the originals. And that's purely because they mass produce these covers. I mean they must be doing something right to be headlining these venues and be supported by these bands that they supported just a few years ago. But I highly highly doubt they'd be this popular or headlining these venues if all they had behind them was their original music.
