And he’s performing old songs at the album release party? What is actually going on?

He's performing track 2 off the new album right now. He said he's nervous to perform any of the new songs.

There are new albums by YBN Cordae, E-40 and Rich Brian out today too. Go listen to them whilst your waiting. Hell, one of them even has a Chance feature.

Is what it is. If this album really is full of Summer jams maybe he didn't want the first time everyone listened to it to be at midnight, but instead, during the day when the suns out. I'll take that.

Being a Frank stan has taught me to be patient.

I was really excited to listen to E-40 until I saw that Chris Brown is on a track

E-40’s been a consistent supporter and collaborator with Chris Brown. It’s why i can’t fuck with him.

i’m not a fan of this thing kanye and chance do where they work on it to the very last second and push the release back. you know how many times i make a song or make an edit and then the next day i listen back and don’t like it? feels like it’s just going to end up sounding rushed because they didn’t let the finish project just sit for a second instead of just barely sticking to a deadline they weren’t ready for lol

Do we know that he's still working on the album up until the last second?

    hey you lil piss baby

What is "sounding rushed"? How can we assume that something finished at the last minute isn’t also exactly the final product the artist wanted to make?

Even if a work of art comes out exactly as the artist intended it to, it can still sound rushed or feel rushed (whether it's an album or a movie or a final season of a television show) to an outside observer. The listener/observer can have a differing view of the final product than the creator does. That's how criticism works.

That is true but to be fair most criticism isn’t worth reading lol

i'm just assuming idk what else would be holding it up, if it was done and something else was holding it up idk if chance would be this vague lol
