The 1975 will release their new album Notes on a Conditional Form on February 21st, 2020. Today they’ve shared the opening track of the album, ”The 1975.” The song is a collaboration with teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.

There’s also a countdown on their website to 28 days from now, rumors being that it’s for the lead single, “People.”

Feb 2020? Half of the songs are going to be released as singles before then, aren’t they?

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

    There are 22 tracks...

Even if they release 5 singles (similar to ABIIOR), its barely a dent

I like the first song and agree with this message but I don’t I’m going to want to hear it every time I listen to the album. It’s cool and bold of them to do that though.

You owe me a Sausage McMuffin

That was my thinking too. Will likely never listen to this ever again, because as a song and intro to an album, I don't need this.

Yep I enjoyed one listen but if it was still ipod days I’d have deleted this track, will be getting skipped on spotify

Bold as fuck to put this out first. Matty is so passionate about the issue. As he should be. As we all should.

Also, mine rolled straight from this song into “Be My Mistake” on shuffle which features the same key and tempo, and it honestly sounded perfect. Give that a try for a few goosebumps.
