I disagree. I think my favourite part of the game, the beginning, wouldn't have been anywhere near as effective if I weren't playing the game. It's a simple game but it's still absolutely a game and I honestly don't think there's any point in watching a play through, there's very little to actually watch unfold, it's about experiencing it. Whether it's worth the money is probably just down to personal preference of how much you enjoy it and how much you feel it was worth.

It was a steep drop. We had to fly under the carpet and it was kind of hectic for a second. It reminded me a lot of the movie Gravity when the two astronauts get separated.

If you missed any of the SGDQ runs that you were interested in, they upload all runs a few hours after they finish.

also right now they have Bioshock - Dishonored - Wolfenstein New Order back to back so it's a really good block.

    beautiful and chequered, the end

So I got Fire Emblem Awakening today, this is sooooooooo stressful. Literally chapter 1, I run lissa close to the combat to heal some guys, all the enemies then went and focused her and killed her in 1 turn. I cant believe never play her again :( I was planning such a nice future between her and fredrick.

The best thing about this is in the animations after the battle lissa goes "pffft you didnt think I could handle 1 or 2 battles?" to her friend when she gets back to the castle, and its like lissa.... sorry to break it to you, but you died immediately, so yeah you couldnt handle it.

I am going to lose sleep over losing lissa so early, still in shock

  6. I thought everyone just restarted when someone dies. That's what I do, anyway.

I'm a pansy and did the game without allowing my people to die. I'm like soooo close to finishing it but I never have time. My second run with people dying on will for sure when everyone dies.

this is my first fire emblem game ive ever played, Im reading now online that everyone just resets, seems like a cheap way out. I'll be more invested in these characters if i know once dead, they will never come back. Lissa's death has taught me the perils of war, I will just not make the same mistake twice. I feel the whole point of the permadeath is so you get attached to the characters more, if I just reset the game im losing that.

Beat King's Quest Episode 3. This game is so great, it has a little of everything in it really. Can't wait for the next episode!

AC Syndicate was fucking fantastic. My goodness. I'm so upset at how people are so quick to judge before playing because of previous entries. I think this deserves way more attention than black flag did. My goodness. I haven't loved the series this much since Ezio. I hope AC continues in this direction.

FWIW, I've spent over 40 hours in Syndicate and have it at 70% synchronization. I haven't done this much in an AC game before. And Syndicate gives you more side missions after the story. So I'm definitely continuing.

Also there's a subtle Ezio reference towards the end and I was like *internal screaming* like a fan girl. It made me happy. The modern day story picked up a lot too and I wish the last part of it was playable because it was pretty intense. I am very glad to still see Shaun and Rebecca.

watching the SGDQ run of Wolfenstein: The New Order and I'm reminded I gave up on the game because I reached a certain part that I couldn't get past. I believe it a mission on the moon base I think.

To be fair I much preferred the first half. It started out super interesting. The atmosphere was so thick.

Yep. Don't reset, the game really is more effective if you don't.

Let's discuss it some more in 2 weeks when everyone had a chance to play it :) I feel like if I divulge any more of my thoughts it'd be too spoilery. Now that I've slept on it, my thoughts are a bit more positive, though I still feel 20 bucks was a bit steep.

Eh I don't feel too bad about spending 20 bucks on shorter experience games as long as the experience itself is good, would much rather have a shorter more condensed experience than something dragged out just to add more "value".

That's the thing, I felt the interactions required and the mechanics presented are so banal that despite the short length (I'd guesstimate 4 hours'ish for me) I felt like it did drag. I just wanted it to end at some point.

My wife got on to me for paying $20 for Gone Home but it was my birthday and there's nothing she can do about it! Would easily have paid more

I was a bit surprised that Inside was NO WHERE near as difficult or hard as Limbo, but loved literally every second of the game. The amount of detail/care put into every animation, background, and character was just refreshing. You can see why the game took them the time it did, everything was handled with such care.

End was a WTF. Alternate ending gave more light to it.

Think this may actually end up as my GOTY. Need to replay it.

Probably because you haven't shelled out $4000+ USD on supply drops to get the game altering and overpowered weapons.

Well your first problem is playing COD MP. Everyone knows that's a waste of time. ;)

:( still so disappointed by this given that both Black Op's games had pretty good campaigns. Going to replay the first one on Xbox One sometime soon.

Well, for BO1 and BO2, they had David Goyer writing (not saying he's amazing, but he's penned some decent movies and games), and this one they didn't. Haha, "3 year development" my ass. An extra year to make the game than they usualy had and it felt more half baked than ever.
