Love that they are doing Hush! Hope its great. They have been very hit or miss in the last 5 years or so, it really does seem like every other movie is good....

 

Well I only got 1 out of 3, but this movie was a total blast. My bad for not checking the rating before watching with my kids though. I thought since it is a Nickelodeon film with TMNT in it, there wouldn't be a ton of violence like the recent DC films but I was wrong lol. Blood shooting out of people, ninja stars going into heads and an actual beheading lol. Well, they have to grow up sometime.

 

Death and Reign were great, esp the latter. I did not care for Fatal Five, let me know what you think!

 

Batman vs TMNT was a ton of fun

 

I think the first Batman vs Shredder fight is maybe the best fight scene we've gotten out of a DC Animated movie since probably Wonder Woman or Under the Red Hood.

Hmm not super into this, but maybe it'll be wacky fun.

Anybody watch Hush yet? As usual, I'm behind and still need to check out that, JL vs F5, and Batman vs TMNT.

 

I liked Hush. Some of the changes were strange, but given that it was one of my favorite books, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out all in all.

 

That Harley Quinn trailer looks bad and is trying way too hard to be edgy. Skip JL vs F5 because it's not good and go straight to Batman TMNT because it's great!

I'm... kinda into this? Oops, lol.

Poison Ivy is a top 5 DC character for me & looks dope here, Kite Man showed up, the music is a goofy cover of the Mary Tyler Moore theme, I like taking the piss out of Batman, this kinda animation is where Harley fits best... Idk, it looks lame in the same way that most Deadpool stuff is lame, & I don't have DC Universe, but I could see myself watching a few episodes of this someday.


Though, I haven't watched anything DC animated in forever. Still haven't gotten around to Reign of the Supermen.

 

You seem very particular about Superman so I'm probably not a good base for you, but I loved Reign of Superman and think you should see it immediately.

 

I mean, I'm sure I'll dig it. I was very into Death of Superman. Though that one was written by Peter Tomasi, a comic writer who did some Superman comics I love, & he didn't write Reign. But, still, what I've heard sounds good, especially the Lois focus, so yeah.

Is there a combo pack w/ both Death & Reign? Maybe that should just be a Christmas thing (since I have to be careful w/ my spending at the moment).

 

It'll be on DC Universe Aug 13th, but I guess it's out on digital to rent/buy already.

 

Idk I may throw it on in the background at some point since I'm paying for DC Universe. Like I said, it could be silly fun. Trailer and the overall tone just didn't click with me.

So, Hush has great animation and the fights were cool.... but it seemed really rushed story wise and a lot of the important story beats didn't really hit with me, esp the Joker/Batman/Gordon scene in the alley which I remember being so intense in the book.

Since this is a part of the continually of the past animated movies, they did some a decent job at having past events effect the world. I totally forgot about Lex being part of the league lol.

 

I think if they split Hush into two parts like they did with The Dark Knight Returns, the story would have had way more time to breathe and it could have ended up being the best of these films.
