I’m curious if the move means they’re slightly concerned about Sanders’ hamstring injury. I know he missed all of OTAs with it and is already behind. With camp coming up soon, I wonder if they think he’ll continue to miss valuable time.

 

I doubt it. The way I look at it, the Eagles are what....4 deep at RB without Sproles? Sproles can't be making much more than 2-3M (3M would be generous, imo). I think they want him in there for a veteran presence and to come in on a very specific set of plays. I think Howard/Clement/Sanders will have a 45/25/20 split with 10% or so reserved for Sproles.

Guys like Smallwood/Pumphrey/Scott are going to need an insane preseason and even then, not sure it'll be enough. Also, I'm not sure you could pay me to take any part of this backfield in fantasy.

All three of those bums stink. Scott sorta gets a pass cause he was only on the roster for a few weeks and hasn’t really had much of a shot but the other two can get all the way off my roster now.

 

I love Sproles, but I was hoping for Ajayi back.

 

I keep hearing Josh Adams name still.

 

There’s no way Adams or Ajayi were ever coming back. I’d be surprised to see anyone pay Ajayi anything more than the vet minimum at this point in his career

Apparently that was the first (and only) team to contact him after the Eagles during free agency so I doubt it. His knee is probably not good still.

I figured once the Colts signed Spencer’s Ware that Ajayi’s chances there were nixed anyway

 

I would be a little surprised if Spencer Ware makes the team, but he’s a good extra set of legs for preseason and injury insurance

I wouldn’t be upset if Ajayi is brought in for that same kind of role
