California by Blink-182

Rocksound, AllMusic (which I find to be the best of them in this case) and Kerrang! are all positive.

And according to metacritic, there are no negative reviews, by their definition, just "mixed" reviews.

 

It definitely seems like one of the least favorites for most on the album but more than any other song for me, the Teenage Satellites chorus constantly pops into my head.

 

Teenage Sattelites is still the only song on the album I don't absolutely love. I like it but don't love it.

Man, even though I always liked the trade off of tom and marks vocals I have to say mark and Skiba blend so well on each other it's awesome

 

I feel you, it's the one song i don't care for. I don't mind that it's there but it doesn't do anything for me.

 

Same here. Since I read the title I felt it could be a song written by Tom, and actually it does sound like it. Still it's a fine song.
My fave is Los Angeles, so different and the bridge is beautifully amazing, I always get chills when Mark starts singing. (also I get the FOB Centuries comparsion, but I don't care lol)

 

I never thought about that with TS but that's true lol. I do also quite like Los Angeles. After Cynical, Sober, SOOHM, and YTOTM it's the next one I play the most not counting the three we had before album release.

 

Haha sorry. Nme is the UK's version of rolling stone magazine I suppose. They reviewed California mentioned Tom delonges exit as Delexit in reference to UK's exit of the EU. But this all was hard to write out on my phone.

I didn't care for TS at first but came around on it, the chorus is killer.

I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of Mark's and Matt's vocals together but they have really worked well together. They blend together in a different way than what we're used to with Tom.

 

I'll be really disappointed if they don't have a California-themed video at some point. I keep picturing something black-and-white and based in Venice. It's been done before but so have songs about California. The important thing is that it's Blink's take on California.

 

I can't wait to see blink tomorrow in Milwaukee. I haven't seen them at all since the Untitled anniversary shows in 2013.

 

Been since the Honda Civic tour in 2011 for me. Was civic 2011? When they played with MCR? I mean they filmed the hearts all gone video at my show and that was cool and all.

Finally watched this interview.

Some decent questions answered that include different information than the other answers they've been giving during this promotion cycle.

I also wanted to ask "Why so serious?" to them multiple times throughout the exchange. haha.

 

Summerfest has incredible live sound so I can't wait to watch Blink tomorrow (online). I presume they'll be streaming the show like they did last year.

It's weird but this is shaping up to be their most successful album regarding charts' peak positions. Amazing! :)

 

I watched a bit of an interview with Kerrang and Matt looked like he didn't want to be there (admittedly the interviewer kept asking questions about blink's past which only Mark can answer...)

 

All the songs are awesome, but TS > KotW

 

He wants to be there; it's just uncomfortable for him since he knows people are looking right at him when questions relate to the Tom era.

US numbers are uptrending. Hits Daily Double is now projecting: "135-145k SPS, 125-135k albums".
