I love both bands but always thought blink was more consistent, Green Day has a couple albums that are clunkers while Cheshire Cat through untitled is really fucking good run. Comparing their pop punk classics I think Dookie and Enema are too close to call (though in general I prefer blink’s sound). Comparing their artistic opuses, I’d say Untitled is a higher peak than American Idiot, though I love both records.

 

I happen to think both bands are inconsistent, and I was miserable when I saw Green Day because Billie Joe wouldn't shut the hell up and play.

 

But Blink is much more fun than Green Day.

My cousin went to the Blink show last night and today she posted on FB that ‘Blink was cool but I was bummed to find out Tom wasn’t in the band anymore.’

I know I’ll get hate for this but I don’t care for Green Day.

 

Never liked Billie's voice, he always sounded apathetic and bored to me so I could never get into it. American Idiot & Kerplunk have some jams however. I fucking hate Dookie though.

 

Shit, I'll even say New Found Glory and Sugar Cult brought more than Green Day did when they opened up for them.

 

I'm here with you on the Dookie hate.

 

I love blink (shocked I am sure). That being said, I don’t think anyone will try to say blink is the best live they never have been. Of course Green Day is tighter. I’d love seeing GD live of course too.

I like both bands. But I like more blink albums than I do GD. Can not deny that GD is awesome too though

Honestly blink is maybe the only pop punk band I like

 

I grew up on Kerplunk and Dookie but I RARELY ever go back to either. Warning to me is one of the most underrated albums released in the 2000s and AI is an all-timer for me but other than those two records, I don’t find myself going back to GD much.

 

Dookie through American Idiot (including Shenanigans) is better than any blink stretch. But the. Again I think the best blink stretch is TOYPAJacket through hoods so gate me all you want and yes I'm drunk on a weeknight Utica Club wuddup where my upstate New Yorkers at

 

I remember being like 8 in 2001 and going to the store and buying two CD’s: Kerplunk and TOYPAJ.

That Wal-Mart employee was probably so hungover and so confused.

 

That’s a good stretch for both bands!!
