You guys care too much about other peoples opinions.

 

rewriting my post because in about 10 hours I'm going to watch my favorite band live for the 3rd time and the last thing I want to do before then is facilitate an argument in this forum.

 

If someone thinks the band should have broken up years ago, that's an opinion and like every other opinion, you don't have to agree with it. But, to be honest, I see a lot more people in this thread complaining about negativity towards Brand New than I actually see negativity towards Brand New. And you guys never seem to get that you're creating an environment that's not conducive to actual discussion, so that's all I'll say on it.

 

I actually thought that myself this morning. This thread is either people saying 'I'm over Brand New' or folks, most notably myself, complaining about negativity. Ah well. Once the new tunes eventually roll out we'll all hopefully be too busy listening to it to be here arguing back and forth.

So weird that there's a Snapchat filter for this tour, like you wouldn't think these two bands would have something like that ha. Also, the stage set-up for Brand New looks pretty cool.

Fans of the band can't even recognize that IAAN is one of their all time best songs.

IAAN is the worst song I've heard from a band I like this year other than everything on the new Say Anything album.

 

Yo they're gonna pull a Beatles and not play shows anymore. I Am A Nightmare is decent.

 

I know I'm late, but that would be awful. I hate hearing unreleased stuff live. A song or two is fine to tease a new album, but beyond that it would be really bad. It's not a great context to hear new music in at all.

 

Agreed. I much prefer having the opportunity to hear new material prior to it being played live so I actually know what's going on.

 

I agree with you completely, but you may have missed my point. I was suggesting it as a witty way to troll fans - "Here, you want new music? Splat!"

 

The thing is, if they announced beforehand that it'd be a new album show I'd be so down for that. It's just I'd want to know that was what I was letting myself in for.

I mean, I get why bands like playing new stuff as soon as they can.

But I don't want to have to take in a song for the first time while trying to see past a freakishly tall person in front of me and while some jackass pushes into me because some jackass pushed into them and it makes me a jackass that pushes into someone else.

I have four terrace seats for the Philly show, and I am considering swapping them for two lower orchestra or pit tickets?
