Can't imagine how big of a mess this will all be if he drops off. Surely they have to offer refunds since people bought tickets to a co-headlining tour and one of the headliners might not even be on it anymore. Then that puts the venues in a weird spot.

What an absolute disaster. Theres definitely some damage control to be done.

Really kills the summer buzz behind the EOTS anniversary and leading up to a new album.

Didn’t Travis say their label put this tour together? I could be thinking of something else, i swear I saw an interview of them talking about it.

Now the question is: if Wayne drops, do they take down the what’s my age again x a milli video? Will forever be an Internet monument to an awkward pairing

How did this tour end up getting priced so out of whack? When I saw Blink in 2016 at the same venue, tickets up close were $79 (face value from LiveNation) and for this tour they're $169. Neither act, from what I've seen, has a large stage production to recoup costs on.

If they continue the tour without Wayne, I really hope they adjust the ticket prices.

Shame this all had to go down while trying to celebrate EOTS’ anniversary. I hope this rollout doesn’t discourage them from doing anything special for TOYPAJ or Untitled

Why would it? Rebranding the tour to EOTS is the only thing that worked about this tour, it saved ticket sales for them

I’m sure part of it is from production/permit costs, crew costs, labor costs, venue percentages....shit Mark said they have like 17 trucks to carry their production. That’s insane

There were groupons for mansfield for $20 lawn (less if you are a groupon member) and then you couldve upgraded for $20 (at the show), so that seems reasonable.

Should have just announced this as an EOTS tour right off the bat and have smaller acts open. The ticket prices are the main culprit for this tour failing though. I dont dislike Wayne, but I won't pay extra just to see Blink play with him. 200 bucks for put is a joke and management or the label or artists should have known that would flop.

Here's hoping they can get a smaller act to open after a week or two since this tour is only beginning. What's ADTR doing? Jk haha

Lil Wayne potentially quitting the tour is a disaster. That sucks.

It sucks a lot because I was at the show 2 nights ago and it was packed as hell for blink and Lil Wayne on a Wednesday night in middle of nowhere Mansfield, MA, where tickets were $100+ to sit a mile away. Based off several reports from people I knew at the show, people were super into Lil Wayne. People loved blink. This was the same story for all the previous nights on tour. At that point Wednesday night I was happy the tour seemed to be doing well because we spent months hearing from people wanting it to fail for variety of reasons.

You yourself @mescalineeyes may not have called this tour stupid with very racial judgements towards Lil Wayne and hip hop, but many, many people did on social media. It was disgusting. Which we called stupid. And still will. And that was the primary dialogue I was referencing in this thread about the close minded way of thinking pop punk fans had towards Lil Wayne and hip hop back in May. So that aspect is not directed at you, I believe we agree on that aspect of it. Apologies if it came off as me accusing you of racial judgements.

In the end: I hope Lil Wayne is back tomorrow and this was a heat of the moment issue due to poor weather and maybe other personal reasons. Despite months of many people shitting on this tour and waiting for it to fail, I would not call what I experienced Wednesday night as a failure. How the rest of this thing goes is now up for discussion obviously.

I dont know if they had that idea right off the bat. The tour could've been meant for the new album, which was suppose to be out by now or coming out soon.

you haven't, I was purposely not wanting to discuss racists because they're racists and they don't matter and if someone thinks they can use this to do a racism we should probably shoot them into the sun.

I just think these two artists, especially in this combination, can't fill these venues at these prices.

Their touring agency. But bands are still able to not take recommendations. Just because it was an offered package didn't mean they had to do it.

Wasn’t this initially billed as a co-headliner but then Blink announced they were doing EOTS in full and Lil Wayne’s was billed as a ‘special guest’?

17 trucks for this production?! That's mind-blowing judging off what I've seen the staging looks like in the YT clips. Travis Scott only had 12 trucks and he was transporting carnival rides from city to city during the Astroworld tour.

Love that the "gangsters" can all coordinate their busy schedules to go see a hip-hop artist.
