Been listening to Riot bands I’m not familiar with. Went down a deep Struts hole last night and I hope they aren’t playing against someone I already plan to see.

 

The Struts are amazing, I saw them at a festival back in 2016 and they give a really good show!

 

I saw them opening for Story Of The Year around 3 years ago in St Louis and me and my friends had no idea who they are. About half of the crowd left after they finished their set.

 

Wow, I saw The Struts a few years ago and could not have hated it more.

This is old news (last week) but I just saw it:
The Raconteurs Land First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart With 'Help Us Stranger'

His fourth #1 I think? Raconteurs first

According to the wiki White Stripes never had a #1 (closest was #2 with Icky Thump)

Anyway I guess that means they were a good get? Would probably have been harder to land them after their #1

 

Album is really really good. Way more excited for their set now.

 

I believe all three of his solo albums hit #1 on the US charts.

Primus finally announced their fall tour with Slayer. I"m hoping this means they get added. (Probably not likely, but I can still hope ...)

 

Masked Intruder is playing Saturday.

Their tour poster also said that Direct Hit! is playing the date too.

Guided by Voices are playing Sunday per their website. Teenage Bottlerocket has a show on Friday so they are playing Saturday or Sunday

Oh also apparently Ween is playing Sunday per this piece of info on Reddit

"I guess nobody prays at the alter of the boognish, because Ween is playing the Mollusk on Sunday. The bassist for Ween is Dave Dreiwitz and he's also the bassist for JRAD. JRAD has scheduled shows on Sept 13 and 14. Meaning he'll have to fly in for a Sunday show w/ Ween @ Riotfest."
