Never been a blink guy. And I don't hate this record. Skiba is the man. I love his soaring vocals on "Home"

 

San Diego is still one of the most beautiful things I've heard in awhile

 

Unfortunately it looks like the bonus track is only on the Japanese CD. Not even Japanese iTunes. I haven't seen a good quality rip out there yet.

 

A buddy sent me an audio message of him playing acoustic and singing Pool and I sent him just drums and me saying "is that really it?!"

The power of music, guys.

 

So, just to make sure, there are people who actually think that John Feldmann's California is greater than Jerry Finn's Untitled?

 

I haven't heard of any.

 

Untitled is better, but California is a great album.

 

To be clear, I have no problems with people liking California. I like it too. But, Untitled is Blink's crown jewel.

 

I think California is a strong contender for second best.

And that's from someone who absolutely loves TOYPAJ.

Album is a grower.

 

My physical copy still hasn't arrive but I finally ordered the cassette! I can't believe I brought these album 3 damn times.

 

What's the opposite of "a grower"? A shriveler?

 

I LOVE the verses of this song. Just a little more interesting rhythmically than a lot of the other verses. I love the hi-hat choke accent and how it well it translates from half time in the first verse to the second. Mark and Matt sound great there too.

 

Instant love?

This guy has pretty good content. His "regretting the past" reviews are very entertaining.

 

Just got into California today. Drove down the 405 to San Diego blasting the album. Felt great.

 

That has to have been nice. I drove to Nashville down 65. 97 degree heat windows down, it was awesome. But San Diego had to be more symbolic lol

 

I'm sure that drive was awesome too. This is a great driving record haha

 

I seriously can't stop listening to "The Only Thing That Matters". It's probably my favorite song on the album. Skiba's second verse is just so effing catchy. People who think Mark and Matt's voices don't compliment each other well aren't listening. The back and forth on that song is so good.

This is set to knock Drake off the top of the charts. What a time to be alive.

 

Oh shit, according to Hitsdailydouble Blink is on track to finally dethrone Drake from the number 1 spot! Predicting 125-135k for first week sales. This will be Blink's first number one since TOYPAJ. Crazy that they've only had one no. 1.
