Also, Maxwell who would be competition for blink this week, the title of his 2009 album:
BLACKsummers'night
His new one:
blackSUMMERS'night

Weird.

 

I actually have a friend who is a huge Tom and AVA purist, she had always liked AVA over blink, read and loved his book, total fan girl etc. showed her the new blink album and she was impressed enough to go buy this. I've caused three people to buy this album now lol.

 

It's part of a trilogy. The next one will be called blacksummers'NIGHT, I assume.

What if they throw a curveball and call it: blacksummersnight

 

That would be a jump the shark moment and I would never listen to Maxwell again

So what's the general consensus of the new album? I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Only one song I'm not a huge fan of.

 

Wouldn't want to offend the overly sensitive tombots.

 

Seems to be about 80% on here like it or love it. Reddit? I have no fucking idea.

 

I love the "Don't wait for me" part on Home so much.

The record is getting slammed by a lot of reviews

 

And praised by a lot. And less slammed than their most successful albums. Reviews mean shit.

 

That's about what I thought the could do SPS, I didn't know if it would be enough to top Drake. That's pretty incredible. I hope they get it.

 

You're all insane. This album is the worst record they've put out since Cheshire Cat.

 

I'm making the point that a lot of publications aren't exactly liking the record (AV Club and Spin) relax. Yeah, you're right reviews aren't everything. But both of those reviews make some really good points about the record

Doing my part on Spotify last night and today at a backyard BBQ!

 

Went to Target right when it opened at 8 AM on Friday to pick up the CD and dealt with not one ,not two, but THREE employees that gave me blank stares/seemed completely unfamiliar with the phrase 'Blink-182' when I asked them to check in the back for the CD (as it hadn't been put on the shelf yet).

Yes, it was early, but still...eesh
