My absolute dream for this tour is for them to open with Cynical and then immediately go into Feeling This without missing a beat

I'm kind of an album purist so I refuse to mess with tracklistings and dropping songs and whatnot but I will always have Hey I'm Sorry as the closer for this album too. Love it.

"Hey, I'm Sorry" easily has the best lyrics on the album. Matt's pre chorus lyrics hit hard for me.

Yeah I would absolutely never rearrange a tracklisting or especially delete a song from an album but there's a few occasions where I'll add a song to the end or something. Definitely doing it for this album, and I have Time to Break Up, Don't Tell Me It's Over, and What Went Wrong ending my TOYPAJ

As I keep listening, I'm really bummed that they didn't try a little more at writing riffs... the majority of the songs are power chords. Tom was never a great guitarist, and I do not miss him, but he did more than play chords.

Still enjoy the record. Not their best, but loads better than Neighborhoods and DEDs.

  8. Tom hasn't written good riffs in yeeeears

This album sounds even better when you're cruising around town on a warm Friday night with the windows down. Of course I wasn't really cruising. I was going to the store to get my daughter some baby Tylenol, and my pregnant wife some cashews... But it was cool anyways.

an album that appeals to teenagers? GTFOH really? Im 28 and I love it. You are obviously in the minority thinking this.

Some of the vitriol this band somehow deserves continues to baffle me. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to have to stay off the internet completely to enjoy this album. Came across a supremely butthurt Trio fan in a FB group and some of these people really get under my skin.

Oh well, time to listen to a great blink album and chill out! Haha.

I edited the original post to clarify I was quoting someone from Facebook. I'm 4 years older than you and love the album lol. Sorry for the confusion

I know there was supposed to be a lot of band references? I only found Bauhaus, the cure, and no control. Anyone find any others?

Yep - I'm 32 and I love the record. Admittedly, I may not have the most refined taste, but this album doesn't scream 'we're pandering to 16 year olds!' to me. Frankly, it sounds like it would have been right at home in 2004.

Am I the only one that doesn't ever want Tom back in the band? I feel like the bar has been set so high with California that there's no way they can top it or even get close with Tom in the band. If he rejoins then I'm out lmao
