Job interview tomorrow, if they get back to me (and offer the job to me lol) within a week that gives me a week to hunt down a Mohegan ticket...wish me luck boys

 

@Wharf Rat Which night? I am currently trying to trade my extra Mohegans for Fenway fields. If I can't make it happen, I would be happy to help get you in the door. They are behind stage but you're in the building.

Will keep you posted. I feel like I've seen you post about seeing shows at Fenway...if I can't get field, where should I target? Reading some bad shit about sound, views, etc.

 

Yeah it can be not great. We sat around the dugout and it was solid sound and view. Not great but didn't ruin it or anything. Field would definitely be better I think

My buddy just offered me tickets for this Friday at Fenway... Single me is there in a heartbeat but married with a kid is a lot harder to swing.

ok so i'm on CoT, a bunch of tix have been posted but none on the floor. how long should i hold out for floor before I just take what i can get do you think

For this show you really gotta be on top of it. For the floor at this show you REALLY gotta be on top of it.

I can assure you that without CoT Gold you're not getting anywhere near a floor. I put Camden PAVs on the aisle for Sunday night and had 10+ messages within the first 20 seconds.

Could wait and see if price drops for sure.

 

I got gold. I signed up yesterday afternoon and there have already been 3 or 4 non-floor postings. Maybe this weekend I'll just start going for whatever I can

 

I only say this because I've perfected the system and am a CoT ninja. Here is what you probably have to do.

1) Go to you Gold member section and set up post alerts for the show(s). Whenever a listing comes up with a sale for that particular show, you will get a push notification.

2) Be ready to swipe the shit out of that push notification and use FaceID/TouchID/whatever to get into your phone at lightspeed.

3) Have a response preprogrammed. Sellers don't have to give to the replier, but it can't hurt to be first. In my iPhone keyboard shortcuts I have "gh" (two letters next to each other) spit out the phrase "Would be super grateful if these were still available, thank you!"

4) Message someone selling tickets for the show. They'll confirm/deny if you won the CoT lotto.

Regardless, lots of tickets always start bubbling up in the days before and day of. Good luck and I'll keep my eye out for you too.

Haha, it's what has to be done when you really want some hard to get tickets. You can even have the shortcut with your story ("last minute, really want to go" etc).

If you want to get even more insane...

I have found that Cash or Trade's Twitter notifications come in faster than the app alerts by like 10-30 seconds. When I've been REALLY desperate, I turn those on. The downside? You receive a notification for every CoT tweet, which is EVERY sale, ISO, trade, etc. on the site. It gets very annoying very quickly haha.

alright....at this point i've decided if I see one on there in any section that's not that stupid fucking ticketmaster platinum $200 shit I'll go for it. lol. $200+ for floor is one thing but $200 for nosebleeds in an arena is not for me lmao.

i might even be okay paying that if it was truly face value but its just a ticketmaster upcharge for literally no reason, the ticket just has the word "platinum" on it. not paying that on principle

 

Platinum is so fucking wack. During the ONSALE there are Platinum Tickets already. It's straight up criminal.

I'd also keep an eye on r/PhishTix on Reddit.

 

i bet its even worse at Mohegan where the casino probably loves to comp platinum tickets to high rollers because they're technically worth more and the high roller feels like more of a big shot. Trash

 

Hope everyone going knows this. Personally, this sounds great to me, good for old people or for young people like me who get tired after smoking and drinking all night at a show, are u kidding, you're on your way home by 10pm? sounds awesome. Only downside is the sun won't be down until halfway through the 2nd set probably but oh well
