Ken is a chef but he's also a liar.

 

I'm impartial to the split-top buns for hot dogs, which I wish they made, but otherwise yes Martin's is the best

 

My unhealthy creations were the best thing you could eat at that place. We didn't have bbq chicken pizza, garlic bread, or french dips on the menu, but I sure as hell found ways to make them when it came time for my shift meal.

 

You can cook for me anytime with a menu like that Ken

 

Do you host a lot of dinner parties? I saw this website where you can host at your house and people can sign up to attend. You can read reviews to make sure the people hosting or attending aren't creepers. I've always wanted to attend one.

us brits have a show called come dine with me where 5 people take turns hosting dinner parties throughout the week to random strangers

 

Talking to strangers sounds like my worst nightmare

 

What's the website? I've had friends over for dinner many times. I've cooked larger meals at times, but never had strangers over. I thought about posting it on my instagram and trying it, but seems kinda sketchy. Plus, I have 0 self confidence so I can't imagine charging people for more than ingredients.

 

Same usually for me but when I can prepare for it and get in a social mood it usually goes well. I hate small talk but usually with some wine the conversation can get interesting

2 summers ago I had friends over for a dinner party and got drunk on sake too quickly and coated the tofu I was going to fry in baking powder instead of cornstarch. Luckily my friend showed up and helped me out

Just to tack on to this (sort of), if anyone is facing grief, there's a great organization called The Dinner Party for people aged 18-32 who have lost a parent, sibling, or spouse. It's once every couple months and you just meet up at someone's house with a dish or drinks. It's a good space to be with people who "get it".

A fellow contestant, basically the last person to host reads the results after the food is over and everyone has voted, guy is so bitter hahahaha

 

Omg my boss came into my office but I was listening to Netflix a little too loud and laughing at SOMETHING IAN SAID out loud and didn't see him until it was almost too late and he had made it all the way to my desk to see all the ways in which I wasn't working, that was a close one



Then when I ripped my headphones out of my ears I had to play it cool and pretend like I had heard everything he said when he walked through the door and was laughing at what he had been saying instead

 

Growing up, I always told myself that I would do anything for a Led Zeppelin reunion show. Now that I've seen Robert Plant do Immigrant Song live, I redact that sentiment. Dude needs to retire. Its just sad tbh.
