While we're talking about Farley...I got to see Adam Sandler live this week on Wednesday and he did the Farley tribute song towards the end of the show. I had already seen it on his Netflix special and on SNL but something about seeing it live with gigantic photos and footage of Chris Farley scrolling behind Sandler was really something special. I also really love the lyrics and think they're based in truth especially this part:

"We'd tell him "Slow down, you'll end up like Belushi and Candy"
He said "Those guys are my heroes, that's all fine and dandy"
I ain't making that shit up, that's the truth about my boy Chris Farley"

No worries, I think you meant to quote someone else though?...you quoted me, who just posted a link to SRCVinyl.

  3. I saw him play the song live too a few months ago, and it really was a whole different experience than just watching it on tv.

The past few times blink has come to CT in that venue they apparently drew over 20k. The seating chart for tomorrow looks good, there have been a lot of tickets purchase in the past week and I suspect more will be purchased before the show tomorrow. If you include the pit and lawn there should be well over 10k going. So I guess it all depends on what you think is a good crowd, of course it's impossible to guess just how many tickets were purchased for the lawn or pit. The seating area holds 7,500 people and the lawn can hold up to 22,500.

  11. I'd end up paying more to travel to the show with a free ticket than I would by just buying a ticket to the show a mile away from my apartment, hahaha.

    OOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was his set mostly the same as the Netflix special, or is it new material?

It was pretty similar to the Netflix special but there was new material too. Rob Schneider opened and they did do "Station 69" but unfortunately Schneider didn't fly in from the ceiling in full spacesuit this time, haha. Kevin James even came out at the very end to sing a verse of "Know a Guy"

I think most of the stand up material was new and some of the songs were repeats, I should watch the special again. It was my first time seeing him live and my first big comedy show I've ever been to. Glad I went.

  16. a lot of stuff from his special, but also a few newer/different things too. he does a song about popping a zit or something, and it was so gross and hilarious.
