Watching Matt Skiba sing All the Small Thing on Good Morning America is so surreal.

My wife makes me play Sober every morning throughout the house, I don't hate it one bit.

    Finally heard the damn thing

Cynical- wonderful opening track. After hearing how fast it was I didn't expect it to start the way it did
Bored to Death- we all know, but it's still fantastic
She's out of Her Mind- way too catchy and they better play this live
Los Angeles- I'm loving the vibe but I felt they could have done a little more with the song
Sober- definitely got the country vibe. I don't remember this one too well though
Built This Pool- suuuuper out of place
No Future- sounded better than it used to and I actually like the gang vocal part now
Home Is Such a Lonely Place- I teared up a bit and this is the first part of the album where I really started loving Skiba
Kings of the Weekend- don't remember it too much other than the cool riff during the bridge
Teenage Sattelites- song actually had some really cool textures going through it
Left Alone- I don't remember it too well but I think it was good?
Rabbit Hole- grew on me a lot
San Diego- also brought me to tears. Maybe the best song
The Only Thing That Matters- huge Dude Ranch vibes. That can only be a good thing
California- another top song on the album. Didn't expect it sounding anything like it does
Brohemian Rhapsody- whyyyyy. Bad ending and they wasted the best riff on the album

Overall I really liked it and I know it'll grow on me. Going to listen again now! My only complaint is on first listen it felt like a collection of songs rather than an album.

If you don't love Skiba's verse in "The Only Thing That Matters" then you won't enjoy what I chopped up just now on lunch break.

I want Skiba to see this haha.

Spotify has "She's Out of Her Mind" and "Home is Such A Lonely Place" on their New Music Friday playlist

I honestly had to look up what song those lyrics were in a few minutes ago because people kept talking about it. Then RIGHT after I figured it out I saw this post haha.

Haha I love those lyrics, and how his pronunciation makes Marilyn Manson actually rhyme with flatscreen television

New to Spotify so I don't know the process of updating the monthly listeners numbers, but blink 182 went up 20,000 from yesterday. I don't know if it's the first of the month and that's what they gained the whole last month or if those are like all brand new.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Would love to get his honest, unbitter thoughts on the record...he could repair his image big time by choosing the right forum...but I expect him to show up at a show, tell mark and travis that he learned all the new songs and is there if they need him...

It really feels like Spotify gave them a great push, hopefully it helps with album sales.

Now knowing that Home is Such a Lonely Place is about Mark's son, that song has risen up as my favorite on the record.

"I'll hold you tight, but not too much to hold you back." Damn, I love that lyric.

So how far behind Drake do y'all think this will place?

I think this will finally be the thing to overtake Drake, it was close to the RHCP numbers last week already.

Such a weird coincidence... woke up to a facebook memory of when I interviewed Skiba at Warped Tour on his bus 6 years ago.
