Yeah it’s confusing as hell

Woj on Sportscenter said Kemba is poised to commit to the Celtics right when FA opens up. Hornets are starting a rebuild.

 

Starting? Did they ever technically stop or not be in rebuilding mode even with Kemba lol. That franchise is boring as shit

Chartlotte put themselves into a no-win scenario with Kemba by making countless poor choices in the last few years. It sucks for him that they probably won't offer the supermax, but those contracts are also aging really poorly. Yes, they'd be retaining the best player they've ever had, but there's no evidence they'd be able to surround him with better players. They've made bad choices even when they had ample cap room, and they won't have that for a bit. I feel bad for their fans.

 

Charlotte just needs to go into a full-blown rebuild mode.

 

Yeah I feel for their fans, but they needed to let him go. Kemba is in the prime of his career right now and they aren’t getting better anytime soon. They should’ve gone through with a deal to the Cavs last year tbh

Mike Fisher (ugh) reporting that as likely as kemba to Celtics is, his people haven’t quite told the other teams that the decision is made.

 

Oh man, I kind of hope that Celtics fans get their hearts ripped out of their chests.

That sounds like his camp trying to keep offers on the table for him just in case the Celtics don’t come through

 

Yeah I think it’s grasping at straws, but even if it is not the Mavs, I’d love to see a team (besides the lakers) snatch him from Boston.


I’ve come to accept that he wouldn’t be a super great fit with the timeline in Dallas at this point. They aren’t necessarily in win now mode and kemba would slow down Luka’s development by kind of becoming the main guy.

 

I hope the World Cup is fun this year. USA will win, but Australia, Canada, Greece, and Serbia should play some fun basketball to fill in my hoops fix.
