So for WWE, what do you see during that time when we're getting commercial breaks? Just a live feed of the rest holds?

At this point, I feel like AEW is niche. So anyone who was already planning to watch Fyter Fest probably isn’t going to be distracted by Evolve. Especially when you can just watch Evolve after.

 

oh, im not talking shit on Evolve. it looks like it'll be a fun show. but AEW is the hot thing rn and i just think it's silly for AEW folks to think they're gonna lose eyes to WWE's developmental's developmental

 

I just want WWE to let guys win without using a finisher. Get back to when finishers meant something. So time limit matches, like someone mentioned earlier, would be a good way to do that. I hate watching matches and seeing three finishers from dudes and then being like "okay, now I can get invested because the finish of the match should be coming soon."

 

I agree that WWE streaming it is meant as a dig at AEW. It's easy for them/others to pretend like it's not, however. But at the end of the day it's still an Evolve show. I just think it won't mean anything in the end. Ticket sales and travel plans are already set. Viewing-wise both will be on VoD. Maybe the live viewing numbers take a small hit but that's hardly a big deal to me. And I just don't agree with the way Kenny tried to characterize it. If you think my answer was super-douchey and aggressive, that was mostly my feelings toward Kenny's original post coming out. I don't hold ill-will toward anyone in here, not even @oldjersey.

 

Or just have multiple finishing moves! Or moves that sometimes win it and then you have the one move that WHEN you hit ALWAYS wins, but its rare you hit it! I swear NJPW does this a ton and is fucking simple and effective.

 

And yah Kenny should of just shut up

 

Thanks for the genuine and well thought response. Honestly agree with most of that, I just don't hate on Kenny for saying what he said. I may have thought it was douchey, but its all good. I'm a little too sensitive sometimes lol I want to start posting in here more often so I don't want start fights or anything. Long term observer, but rare poster in here. Honestly appreciate the good debate and talking shit about the things so thanks again for not taking my response the wrong way.

 

the last time i can think of was i think Cesaro v. Jack Swagger, that long ago. match on Raw that ended on a bridged suplex. it involved at least one of them. Zayn also won a match off the Blue Thunder Bomb a while ago but he hit the Heluva Kick first so idk if that counts

 

they really did well with multiple finishers with Styles for a period. there was a stretch where the clash, the forearm, and the calf crusher were all winning matches

Io/Shayna cage match was much more fun than the Kofi/Ziggler cage match

 

End of Io/Shayna was awesome. Io is such a star. Match also made me really miss when WWE would do meaningful cage matches for titles on weekly TV

 

Will do! Don't watch a lot of WWE anymore due to working graveyard and being burn out on the product but will defintely post for NJPW, AEW and NXT. This thread seems like one of the chiller and fun ones on Chorus so glad to become a semi regular.
