I think there are definitely multiple variables here (cost, a some blowback from Lil Wayne), which others have already discussed.

Anecdotal evidence is obviously not a strong form of evidence, but nearly every one of my close friends went and saw them in 2016, and aren't going this year. I actually messaged them about it, and there was a bit of "meh, we've already done that" response. It's not like they tour incessantly, but maybe some fan exhaustion at this point? I feel like the general consensus was that the tour went well, but I know my friends liked, but didn't love the shows.

In my case, I've watched enough live videos to not feel like I'm missing much, and while I love Matt Skiba, like this incarnation of blink, and 100% support them continuing, I just don't have an interest in seeing these same songs (which I've seen about 20 times), and I'm admittedly less interested without Tom there.

I think I mentioned this before, but there's just a perfect storm of variables that are causing this tour to not sell well.

Not saying it’s never happened. I said I can’t think of one - especially from an act as huge as Blink. I’ve never heard of that band but good for them for being up front.

You’ve posted several links to similar situations where big name tours weren’t selling well. To my knowledge, none of those big names came out and admitted the low ticket sales.

I think we all know the common fan isn’t going to shell out $100-$150 for this show and we’ve all agreed that that was a major contributing factor to this tour not selling well. The tour selling well vs not selling well is not up for debate right now. It’s vastly underselling and the first show being reschedule is very unsurprising.

Yeah they didn’t cancel because of Travis’ drum solo not being ready. LOL.

But it’s all going to be fixed two days later in CT right?! Should I be happy now that my show is the first show of the tour?

    Things have changed.

I legit have empathy, having been in this position before, but at some point you’re going to have to let it go for your own sanity.

If you walk in in a bad mood and hate the show because of it, you’ll REALLY have wasted that money

We can't forget that they didn't cancel the show. They rescheduled it.

I'd like to add that this must all be next level marketing as the talk about the tour selling poorly is making me consider buying a ticket...8 rows back for $144 is...doable.

That was a laughable decision on their part from the get go - and I love TBS. If I recall, they cancelled it almost instantly too (like within weeks of tickets going on sale...well before the actual event). They also claimed they were cancelling because they had another major announcement to come instead and then nothing ever happened at all. I legit bet that less than 10 people bought tickets. They were like $1500 and didn’t include airfare. What were they thinking?

Makes me think about the Parahoy thing or whatever it's called. I still desperately want to do it...

I don't think "production issues" should be read too deeply into.

Drake's show with Migos was cancelled last year due to "production issues" and we all assumed they couldn't fit the production screen into the venue.

Then Lil Pump also cancelled his show (which was set to be at a 9000 cap Arena) due to "production issues" and came back to a 3000 cap club a few months later, so yeah, that was definitely ticket sales related.

Technically, the show is a "production" so any issues are "production issues"

The Reputation tour stuff is honestly hilarious. There were so many think piece articles about how badly the tour was selling, how she was done for, etc etc etc. And then in the end it was an absolute massive success. She always has a huge uphill battle every step of her career though, those articles were going to be written with as much or as little truth as the writers had.

Haha, thanks. I think I've reached the "I'm not mad, just disappointed" phase. Getting there.

At least now I think one of my friends wants to go. I told him he could get PIT for $90 less than what I paid for a seat but I'm hoping he'll grab the seat right next to me that is still available for $55 less than what I paid.

If any of you CT people change your minds and wanna go my extra ticket is dropping in price daily, haha, hit me up!

For me personally, I have zero interest in Lil Wayne. Plus the show by me is on a Tuesday an hour away and i’d have to battle rush hour traffic to watch them play the same songs they always play. Love them and wish them the best, timing just doesn’t work for me this time.

I would be, you get to hear a new song never played before live and don’t know what else to expect going into the show.

The 3rd unreleased song from the new record you’re thinking? Or did I miss something?

@BTDandFeelingThis is Columbus the closest show for you? I bet you’re happy with your decision right about now lol
