Not to relitigate my sob story but I did say I hope they cancel the CT show earlier. I paid full price when tickets went on sale and feel like I’m being punished for that now that prices have been reduced. Buyers remorse.

 

See, if I was directly effected or I invest my time, money, and energy into something...I'd want to know the exact problem. "Production Delays" wouldn't be acceptable to me. What "Production Delays" happened 3 Days out of the first date of a major summer tour?

Good thing they rescheduled before announcing though bc that could've easily been a mess. At least theres some solution or direction taken.

The whole 'vague explanation behind a problem' shit will always bother me though Especially at work. My goodness I can't stand it.

Who exactly? Just wondering because I can't remember a time a tour of this size flopped and was openly cancelled due to poor ticket sales. I'm super interested in hearing about other times this has happened with various artists.

 

San Diego Lawn Tickets are $24.75 + Fees each if you get a 4 pack.

Single lawn tix are $37.50 + Fees.

 

Travis Scott postponed or canceled multiple dates on his tour last year because of production issues. Granted, he was literally building roller coasters inside the venue every night, but one show had doors pushed back like 3 or 4 hours because of production difficulties.

It happens.

 

I saw Kanye come out 3 hours late because there was a production issue. Sometimes a postponement is the best option

Really? It’s been relatively common over the past year or so that arena shows are selling less, even for some very big artists. Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer come to mind as the last ones I specifically remember in this kinda general sound/music.

(Could be the start of an economic downturn in general.)

 

Yeah, Smashing Pumpkins did pretty poorly for an act that got 3/4th of its original lineup touring

If thats the case, then say the show is delayed bc the stage currently does not hold the rollercoaster we are building for our stage production. I hope Travis Scott announced that, because that's kind of hilarious and if I'd known about it or read that, I probably would've checked it out haha.

I think the poster was asking which act actually admits to low ticket sales. Of course there have been dozens of tours that were postponed/rescheduled with the ‘production issues’ statement but then we really hear it’s about low ticket sales through other sources.

I can’t think of a band or artist who has ever put that in their statement.

You cannot convince me that this show was postponed/rescheduled due to anything other than low ticket sales. Let’s not be naive.

There’s basically almost every big name artist with at least one article lamenting ticket sales from 2014-2019 on Google. (Trying to find the article about tickets in general in 2019, but can’t find it.)

 

On a lighter note I am excited to see them at Warped this weekend!!!
