Really drives home the notion of just how dumb and arbitrary borders are in the first place and the fact that people can be separated by so little and have vastly different lives, just by dumb luck of being born on one side of the fence than the other.

 

Tucker is weird where a few things he is extremely on point and then most things he's just a complete racist and idiot

 

what is he even trying to say here? yes he is acting in that instance as the mayor, not a presidential candidate. but how he preforms as a mayor still effects how people should treat his presidential run. so he's still asking for people's votes in whatever he does

It’s not weird, he’s just pretty much the only media personality on that level to actually understand and consciously adopt the right wing populist element of Trump’s rhetoric. Even though that will occasionally lead him to the correct outcome, his starting position is always going to be antithetical to what everyone in this thread believes.

He’s the exact kind of person to be most wary about: someone who saw Trump’s campaign and can tell which way the wind’s blowing but, unlike Trump, is actually halfway competent and aware of what levers they need to pull.
