I feel like the vocals are always super low at Anberlin shows. I've seen them six or seven times, and it's always an issue.

Let's talk sound at Anberlin shows. I refuse to go to anymore Anberlin shows and it's solely because of their live mix. The first time I thought "maybe that piercing sound that won't stop is just because the sound guy is going deaf." The next two times, same exact thing. It was the worst concert experience I've ever had those three times. And I think it's because the sound guy is trying to get Stephen's voice to cut thru the mix, and maybe it is but as a listener, it's absolutely miserable.

And just to make sure it wasn't me and my ears being weird, I have a friend who's seen them twice at separate venues and he complained of the same thing. Said it kind of ruined the entire show, exactly how I feel.

    /Off the soapbox. Sry.

They sounded absolutely terrific the last two times I saw them. First show I ever went to of theirs was a similar experience though.

I’ve seen them 12 times and that’s happened a couple times.

But most of the mixes have been great.

Imagine if they had started playing it and Steven pulled off his face, revealing that he is actually William Ryan Key.

Got two (2) tickets for Anberlin at the Fillmore Silver Spring, MD

Fiancé bought them for us before I did way back when this was announced. Looking for $80 for both. PayPal/Venmo/whatever. It’s $83 after fees on ticketmaster for 2, just looking to move them.

Dang, no Readyfuels and only one Vital song.

Still a great set with lots of classics (“Time & Confusion” holds a very special place in my heart) but sub We Are Destroyer for one BFBM cut and another song from Vital, and it’s pitch perfect.

Regarding the sound...it was off for quite a bit of the show. The first 6-8 songs, I couldn't hear what the song was until Stephen started singing. And even then, it took a bit.

On Inevitable, he brought up a fan to sing most of the song. It was actually my first time seeing that song live (and my first Anberlin show in 11 years). Does that normally happen?

There was one song in the We Are Destroyer set where Christian's guitar solo was completely off in the mix. Basically once it started, it boomed over everything.

Really happy that it is heavy on the oldies. I didn't listen to anything after Cities. I was expecting to go in clueless.

Shoot. I'm in Tri-Cities for work for the month of June and I've been debating if I should buy an overpriced ticket and ahead over to Seattle. Decisions decisions

That was an incredible show. The band seemed super happy to have such a sold-out show and the fans were ecstatic... the energy was amazing.

One question... can someone explain the Ryan Mendez from Yellowcard fill-in situation to me? He was still with them last night... which member is he filling in for and what’s the situation with that?

He's filling in for Milligan. Can't recall why but I remember reading he was supposed to be back for the U.S. tour. Guess he isn't...yet.

Ended up getting a ticket through stubhub. Worth it to see these guys, I guess. Anybody know if Milligan is back? Or what the merch table looks like?

Milligan is back! Also, my first time seeing them in 10 years (New Surrender cycle) and they were incredible. Worth StubHub prices.

Yeah, another amazing night of great bands dominating the Seattle nightlife. Only salty that they skipped over Time & Confusion. Other than that: perfect-o.
