I have decided that Georgia has my favorite IPAs in the country.

I normally dislike IPAs, even the ones I like I rarely want to finish a whole one. But 3 of the like, 5 that I will drink are brewed in Georgia:

Monday Night Slap Fight (ATL)
Terrapin Hi-5 (Athens)
Sweetwater Goin' Coastal (ATL)

 

Shenmue aged kinda poorly imo but I still dig the immersion it tried to do with talking to people and buying dumb shit you can’t use. Plus, the dart game in the arcade is fugging dope

 

IPAs are kinda dull imo. Some are truly great but the rest are just boring and lifeless tasting

 

I just think there's a competition of who can squeeze more hops and higher ABV out of their beer and I don't like that. I only like ones that I consider really well balanced.

STL has some solid ass independent brewers in the shadow of AB. Schalfy, Four Hands, Urban Chestnut, and O’Fallon make some great beer and I highly recommend whatever they put out

 

@dylan sorry to be such a dick though actually I wanna try Seaquench Ale. Everyone hyped up their IPAs when I lived in Maryland and it turned me off

 

steppin in quick to agree that IPAs just seem like a who can make the highest abv competition these days and i love a good IPA but cannot get down on 9% bad boys all night. thank you for listening.
