lol I used to love this song. They also came into Jimmy John's once when I worked there I think they ordered the beach club

 

They’re popping up at my nearest mall in very small numbers right now. I have faith that it can catch on again.

 

My funniest "parents driving me to shows" story wasn’t even supposed to involve my parent. It happened in the spring of 2007 when ya boi was a mere 16 years old. The Starting, Bayside, and The Almost were playing a MySpace Secret Show at the Stone Pony and I made plans to go with two of my friends. We took our one friend's bus home to her house right after school (which we were not allowed to do) and got a ride from her older sister to the venue. We were amongst the first to arrive, which was wild. I told my mom I had a ride and not to worry about anything.

So we're there and everything is great, we watch The Almost and then Bayside as well. Then right as The Starting Line goes on my friend who was supposed to get us a ride home had to go early for some reason. I misunderstood what she was saying because it got super loud (obviously), everyone was moving because band had just started playing, and I was trying to pay attention to Kenny Vasoli the God. I thought she was saying they were going to the merch tables or the bathroom or something. So I just said like "ok" to her and she and my other friend left, assuming I wanted to stay, and I stayed for the rest of the show. When they never came back I just assumed they couldn't push their way back to the front of the crowd. Then after it was over, I realized they weren't there anymore. So I started freaking out. There wasn't anyone else I knew at the show.

So I go outside to call my mom and ask for a ride home. It’s almost midnight so she’s friggin pissed off at me for having to drive up to Absury Park that late at night (like a 30-minute drive from my house at the time). And as I’m waiting on the side of the building, Kenny comes out the side door. So at least I got this sick mid-00s cell phone-quality picture out of it.



Then the ride home when my mom got there was VERY uncomfortable lol. So, me being very dumb and not listening to my friend got me a great picture and also grounded for a while.

 

Say it you coward. Afraid of getting cancelled ?

 

I’m genuinely so sad I missed out on Margot and the Nuclear So And So’s touring

I hope Richard Edwards can get healthy enough for a small tour

 

Nothing wrong with that! I like to relive old music from time to time, even if it doesnt quite hold up.
