My package is 20 minutes away from my house as of now :( I'm hoping it somehow gets there today but I doubt it

If someone would have told me in 2009 that in 2016 Blink would make a record, with 16 tracks....record with Matt Skiba replacing Tom Delonge, have guest vocals by Jack Hoppus, Piano by Alabama Barker and let Travis have two "speaking parts" on the record - I would have said get the fuck out of here.....that sounds FUCKING AWESOME.

  3. haha i would have disregarded all of those words and laughed into the face of the person who told me that.

I love these 9 songs, almost interchangeably right now. The other 5 full length songs have moments and I still enjoy but to a lesser extent. Although California continues to grow on me

  6. I realized that the music on the verse of "Hey, I'm Sorry" sounds similar to a song my old band wrote a few years ago, haha. Cool!

Quite happy that I've managed to hold off listening to the record so far. Tomorrow morning is going to be special.

Also... still no idea where my pre-order is. ha.

  9. Still scratching my head at hearing people dislike Rabbit Hole. Easily one of my favorites.

Definitely has that 90's punk sound to it. Simple, and effective. A great track.

I listened to this album quite a bit and it got me hankering for some throwback pop punk, so I've been listening to Less Than Jake's Anthem, which is a blast of a record. Maybe perfect.

Then last night I finally spun the new 1975 and @Jason Tate... Holy shit

  12. like, "holy shit" it's mediocre? haha juuuuust kidding. kinda. i liked the first album way more. meh!

Haha no, I loved it. In fact it's hard to go back to California now, I'll be listening to the 1975 a ton. I'll keep a physical copy of California in the car for summer drives though.

The 1975's latest album is really good, about as good as their debut. I disagree with most on this site that it's some massive leap forward though.

Well that because you're supposed to sit in your basement with all the lights out and pretend you're watching a cinematic film in order to enjoy it - little weed probably helps too.

Haha I keeeeed. I love both albums, they have their pros and cons but I've been listening to the new one more this summer and save the old stuff for the weekend when hanging outside clowning with friends

  21. the new one is a lot more cohesive than the first was, but it doesn't have enough single tracks that grab me the way that the majority of their debut did.

So far, I am pleasantly surprised Mark hasn't addressed "San Diego" being about a whale's vagina rather than Tom.

    Or is that too easy?

It's the middle section that loses me. I'll admit that those middle tracks have grown on me (didn't care for them at all initially), but I still think songs like "Lostmyhead" and "Loving Someone" are underwhelming. I like them, they just don't blow me away...
