If you have a problem with burgers drying out, you're either overcooking the burger or buying ground beef that is too lean. I'd never put an ice cube in a burger. Adding unsalted liquid into the beef seems dumb AF imo. It's going to dilute the flavor of the beef or simply steam away. It seems like an act of compensation for not grilling your burgers at a high enough temperature... so the meat is being baked instead of grilled/seared. To compensate for the burger looking not ready to be flipped, even though the meat is being cooked, you leave the burger on the grill longer, but then it dries out, so you add the ice cube to bring moisture back into the beef.

The whole thing seems tremendously flawed.
