I see a future Mark vs Matt dispute. Matt not getting enough input in the songs. This album is redundant to me. Was looking forward to something different. All I hear is a band purposely stuck in between Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and Enema of the State. Maybe I'm just a lot older. That's probably it.

  2. Matt having a dispute about being in Blink is more unlikely than Tom finding aliens.

Heh, unfortunately I'm looking for a nice split of songs on this album. Mark/Matt songs. I believe I'm hearing 90% Mark songs, which is fine, I could be wrong. I probably am just not the same Blink 182 fan I was when I first started coming to this website when it was a Blink 182 site.

We talk too much / We talk in circles

One day, Tom will learn to do the work first and start the talking second.

    (He won't.)

Randomly got "Left Alone" stuck in my head this morning. Been listening to it on repeat all night. I think it's quickly becoming one of my favorite blink songs. Also some of my favorite Skiba vocals of all time, especially the chorus. He fucking kills it.

  6. Matt is definitely on the album more than 10%.

Yeah I kinda feel like maybe you don't know Matt's voice that well. It seems basically 50/50. Actually, as far as I know, this is the only blink record where both vocalists sing on every song (excluding the joke songs).

I'd be willing to say vocals are 60 40

If I get bored enough, I might count it up. Sounds like something I'd do.

    I'm Only Here to Disappoint

As someone who was never a huge fan of Blink-182, I'm in love with the new album. It made me realize that Tom is probably the reason why I never really enjoyed the band; because with Skiba, this could be one of my favorite albums of the year.

I wish someone on here didn't point out sober being s country song, it's all I hear now.. My gf listens to pop country so I know exactly how those melodies and strictness are phrased

No doubt. I'm talking about the writing, not the singing.

i am way behind on this thread and just caught up tonight with the recent stuff, but i am completely dumbfounded that @Jason Tate doesn't like Untitled. i guess i just took for granted that everyone who was a blink fan agreed it was great.

  17. Where did I ever say I don't like that album ...?

i love this album. i listened to it about 10 times today. definitely a return to the TOYPAJ sound. Matt does a great job of playing Tom-esque riffs as well. happy with it. also, Feldmann did a great job. he is a worthy successor of Jerry Finn for sure. certainly a huge step up from Neighborhoods that reminded me why i love this band. that fan base needed this.

I was wrong I think. I was reading through the thread and you had said something to the effect of they had a fun/good discography minus the last two things and I took that to mean Neighborhoods and Untitled....I don't even think of that shitty EP being a part of the discog and I just realized you probably meant that instead. If you did, touché.

I enjoy the first 3 songs on that shitty EP

I enjoy every song on DED. I just don't think it's cohesive in the slightest so I never return to it

I'm pretty sure Matt had a lot of involvement in the writing of this album considering him, Mark, Travis, and the rest of the damn crew were usually all in the studio working on songs at the same time.

I am going to give Dogs Eating Dogs a go. Haven't listened to it besides Boxing Day since it came out. Mostly because I forgot it existed.

Fuck, what a GREAT taste in music Mark has. Matt has provided some amazing recommendations also.
