I'm struggling with something I want to post on my instagram right now. There's melted cheese covering something and I'm worried what it is doesn't come through clearly enough. The better half thinks it looks killer, but she's biased AF. There is a lot of melted cheese in Italian food, so I can relate.

I am compulsive about making my meals look pretty

 

I’ve worked in a restaurant long enough to understand that quality presentation on the plate is a placebo effect that convinces your brain the food tastes even better

grilled chicken topped w/ proscuitto & swiss (like a cordon bleu), roasted fingerling potatoes, arugula + shaved parm + black pepper + bread crumb salad, dressed with lemon honey-mustard vinaigrette.

That's a good point. I just want to see beautifully bubbly cheese and a sea of red sauce. I'll assume the eggplant is underneath.
