This Is Home, Love Is Dangerous and Snake Charmer being grouped together 10 spots above Wendy Clear just melted my eyeballs

Great top 23 (after that your good taste goes downhill). It's only missing "Going Away To College", "Natives", "Online Songs" and "Disaster"...

I perpetually underrate Here's Your Letter. Listened to Untitled yesterday and that song is so good

I’d like to the hear the explanation for Built this Pool being ranked above:

    - Dumpweed
    - Wendy Clear
    - Anthem Part 2
    - Going Away to College
    - Apple Shampoo
    - Online Songs
    - The Only Thing that Matters
    - Mutt

    To name a few...

All in favor of a permanent ban?

Imagine being the real, legitimate, perfectly fine song that finishes dead last behind the likes of masterpieces such as Fuck a Dog

Anyone think Tom will bust out a blink song or 2 on the Ava tour?

He did it before but back then blink wasn't an active band. I think with blink begin active he wouldn't dare. Plus I feel like he really wants AvA to have their own identity that's separate from blink.

Even though @aliens exist most certainly is a troll account, I couldn't help but being inspired by those track-by-track reviews. So I'm gonna do a SERIOUS album-by-album review instead.

CHESHIRE CAT: Not great, but not all bad either. I always hated the sound/mixing on this, and my god they were awful singers at the time. I can live with the lyrics not being that good, as I've always been more about the music and melodies. Best songs: Carousel (although the MT&TS version is 10x better), M+M's, Peggy Sue, Wasting Time. Overall score: 5/10.

DUDE RANCH: This is far better than CC. I like the roughness/heaviness on some of these songs, and Mark sounds so angry. Production is good. An album full of cool riffs and some catchy choruses. I always forget that they share vocals on the intro track, but I love it. There are however some songs on here that I could live without. Best songs: Pathetic, Dammit, Dick Lips, Enthused. Overall score: 7/10

ENEMA OF THE STATE: What can I say? It's the album that started it all for me. The production and sound is amazing and fits the songs and style perfectly. Cool riffs and fast drumming. Both Mark and Tom has become better singers and songwriters at this point. The only song I don't like that much on here is The Party Song. This album is legendary. Happy 20th! Best songs: Going Away to College, What's My Age Again?, Adam's Song, Wendy Clear (I guess Mark was superior on this one). Overall score: 9/10.

TAKE OFF YOUR PANTS AND JACKET: From start to finish, this album is one hell of a ride. This has always been my favorite blink album overall. They perfected their pop punk sound with this one. The drums, the guitars and the bass sounds sooo good. The album flows really nicely, and there isn't a single song I would switch out or skip. Their best album for sure. Best songs: Anthem Part Two, Story of a Lonely Guy, The Rock Show, Stay Together for the Kids, Roller Coaster, Everytime I Look for You, Give Me One Good Reason (yes). Overall score: 10/10.

UNTITLED/SELF-TITLED: Man, I love this album. Different? Sure. "Good" different? Hell yes. I wouldn't even know which genre would describe this album correctly. Alternative pop punk rock something. You can definetely hear the outside influences more on this record. There's piano, acoustic guitars, cool voice and guitar effects. The dark tone is also something they pulled off pretty nicely. I remember hearing All of This for the first time and my first thought was "is that Travis singing???" Haha. The only negative things about this album is the weird and pointless Fallen Interlude, and that the chorus of I'm Lost Without you gets a little annoying towards the end. Love that drum solo though. Best songs: Feeling This, I Miss You, Violence, Stockholm Syndrome, Always, Here's Your Letter. Overall score: 9/10.

NEIGHBORHOODS: Disappointing album. There's just too much AvA and +44 leftovers on here. And as many others have pointed out, the production is terrible. Not what you should've expected after their last releases. There are some great songs, and some pretty bad ones. I do however tend to cut this album some slack since it's their "comeback" album, which was bound to put a lot of pressure on the guys. There was just no way they could've met everyone's expectations with this. Best songs: Natives, Up All Night, After Midnight, Even If She Falls (this should've been included on the standard edition). Overall score: 6/10.

CALIFORNIA: Wow. Like many others, I was sceptical of this new album with their new member Matt (who's work from Alkaline Trio I love), so I lowered my expectations to the floor. But I must say, I loved this album. The production level is great (though I hate the hand claps in Sober). Both Matk and Matt do great vocal jobs. There are some really cool vocal harmonies and backing vocs (one of mh favorite moments is Matt screaming "I'm barely standing oN THE GROUND" during the last chorus in Rabbit Hole). The album is missing guitar riffs, but that doesn't mean there aren't some good guitar playing on this record. The songs sound like a mix of everything the band has done in the past. The album could've been better if they removed the joke songs and replaced some of the other tracks with songs ftom the deluxe edition. Best songs: Cynical, Bored to Death, Left Alone, Rabbit Hole, San Diego, The Only Thing That Matters. Overall score: 8/10.

The algorithm isn't perfect y'all, but I also just unironically LOVE Built This Pool.

I would say I think Apple Shampoo (Maybe Wendy Clear or Dumpweed) should be above it, but yeah. All the rest of those songs, while fun, all have flaws that Built This Pool simply doesn't because it's too short to.

(Also Bored To Death is way too low on that, but whatever.)

  22. Built this Pool has no flaws because it's too short? What?

    Basically.

Fun Riff, Catchy AF "Woahs", plus Mark's "Pooooo-oo-oo-oo-ool" makes it just such a cool song, and it doesn't collapse under the weight of being a joke song because it's short and sweet.

Like Dumpweed is a bit whiny, Online Songs is too fast, Mutt is juvenille af, Wendy Clear has the dumb "Play with a Nuclear Device" line but Built This Pool is just fun. I mean "I wanna see some naked dudes" is something I think we can all relate to.

The music in Brohemian Rhapsody has so much potential to where they could have made an actual song out of it.
