So far the only things I'm excited about are Lego Star Wars, The Outer Worlds, and Yooka-Laylee. Maybe that says more about me than the actual games presented. It just seems like a lot of generic shooters, and I don't have the time to get good enough at them to enjoy them without being cursed out by teenagers.

 

Greatest stealth game of all time is gonna be backwards compatible this week. Which means Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory will finally have proper controller support on a modern machine. About time.

E3 is truly dying off, very few of these announcements from this weekend give me any hype.

 

Chill. Its not dying off. Its just the end of a console cycle. A lot of developer resources are tied up developing next gen stuff.

Also, I feel like we generally shit on E3 every year with the same complaints

 

The guys doing the twitch preshow right now for SE are FUCKING TERRIBLE

 

I’m still sad that the only games I have to look forward to this year are remasters of PS1 games - namely Crash Team Racing and MediEvil. Death Stranding looks brilliant but I’m so clueless about Kojima games, and I’m not really paying attention to it. TLOU2 isn’t til next year. Destroy All Humans! (yet another remake) is again next year. MediEvil isn’t til October.

Not enjoying this seriously slow trickle. There’s a lot to look forward to, it just seems like it’s all way far away.

 

I see it as a positive. It will give me time to catch on a bunch of amazing games I may have missed.

 

True. I know that Crash Team Racing will consume me. That game was like my entire childhood and I’ve spent legitimately years of my life mastering it. Cannot bloody wait. And it’s...10 days away!

I just caught up on the Ubisoft conference, got to this part, and face palmed. Not because he waited, but because that crowd legit has absolutely no idea who he is. Though I'm sure most don't. That dude hasn't released a game in over a decade. He's influenced modern game design more than any other person in the industry. And nobody is talking about it. Watch Dogs Legion should be an immediate purchase for every single gamer. But just like his previous release, Far Cry 2, it'll probably bomb and then influence the entire next generation of games. Lol.
