Where is the "animal crossing is delayed" rumor coming from? I'm expecting like 20 minutes of that direct to be about Animal Crossing lol the past 3 years they've focused primarily on 1 game at E3 and I feel like Animal Crossing is clearly that game this year

 

Just give us a release date. It’s Animal Crossing, doesn’t need to spend much time on a game like that

 

It's the only known future release that won't be playable at e3, but honestly it seems a little odd to demo a life sim game. I think most people are just keeping expectations low since we don't have any information yet

honest question, but why? im not expecting a shitload of big announcements from them because so many of their bread and butter games are already announced and have been shown off to a degree, im expecting most of that to be shown on Treehouse. barring another 25 min of Smash debacle, i think they could comfortably touch on Animal Crossing in one minute to a minute and a half and then say "more later" and we see more in August or something with a release date maybe. so many Directs have been rapid fire in the past.

 

full disclosure im drunk and justifying this logic to myself because if they dont touch on AC my future fiance will prob leave me because i convinced her at some point that the Switch would be mutually beneficial and all she cares about is Spyro, The Sims and Animal Crossing lol

I doubt much of AC will get shown, if any. They've got too much coming out this year

We already have 1,5 Zeldas, a Pokémon game, Luigi’s Mansion and Astral Chain coming this year. I personally believe AC would be a dope February game.

i feel like Astral Chain is in weird company here, like that game has a lot to prove before it takes a spot in the same conversation as these other ones. Zelda, Pokemon, Luigi, and Fire Emblem are great but that leaves enough room for Animal Crossing to hit. i think September would be perfect

Who knows, I imagine designing a release schedule is pretty complicated

 

Also I think that indie/small games doing as well as they are really took some of the edge off for Nintendo. Also Fortnite lol

 

I spent 150 dollars this year on indies on switch. Help me.
