I actually prefer Dude Ranch BECAUSE it's more raw. I read something Mark said about how his voiced was fucked during recording Dammit in particular I think partially because of yelling and partially because of smoking but he sounds amazing. I know he struggles to hit the high notes these days and he's more known for singing lower probably but he sounded so good shouting.

I only listen to Enema and on. I'm not fan of anything before Enema tbh, maybe a few songs but that's about it.

First date is probably my all time favorite music video. Such a classic.

You know I looked it up quickly and damn outside of the 3 singles, Happy Holidays and Anthem Part Two, TOYPAJ has gotten no love since 2002 outside of them playing Story Of A Lonely Guy a few times in 2004.

    EDIT: Forgot Reckless Abandon too.

Maybe after this tour they will start to phase in some more TOYPAJ songs like they did with adding Gary and at times Mutt and Wendy Clear. Fingers crossed as the TOYPAJ Tour cycle is my favorite set list of theirs.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

would kill to see "Roller Coaster" or "Every Time I Look For You" live, top tier Hoppus

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just want to say that in 1999 my favorite bands were blink-182, Limp Bizkit, and Slipknot. Fourteen year-old me was still confused about who I was I guess.. I knew I liked to rock, but I definitely related more to EOTS lyrically. Anyway, Enema started everything for me. I knew Dude Ranch through a friend (and we would jam Dammit in his basement while shooting pool), but Enema is what really started my blink infatuation. I used to listen to the bridge for WMAA over and over again. I don't remember where I bought the album, but it is the one with the red cross and without the parental advisory-and it is quite beat up.
With each listen, I was slowly morphing into a loserkid - dickie shorts in every color, chucks, hurley, atticus, Macbeth, etc. Enema started it, TOYPAJ sealed the deal. I saved up for a daphne blue Tom Delonge strat which I still love the shit out of to this day. I play music because of this band.
I may be a lurker, but I enjoy this thread.. and I love you guys. :rabbit:

  9. BIOMY is now #14 on the alt radio charts, another top 15 hit for the band.

And #9 on Hot Rock songs.

I'm still trying to decide what my favorite "hot take" about the song was. Probably a tie between Matt should quit the band or they need Tom back to be successful again.

I'm in for that Brooklyn show so long as a ticket isn't costing me 3 figures.

  15. I was hung up on the "not going to be successful"/"going to be a dud" takes.

I love the part in BIOMY when the music drops after the bridge and Matt’s vocals take front stage

    Prestigious Prestigious

Late to the discussion but my Blink fandom is def not as hardcore as most here....I obviously knew who they were after Enema came out, my friends liked them a lot, their big songs got played at the middle school dances, "First Date" was actually voted as our official 8th grade "song" that they played at our formal lol.

But at the time I wasn't as into the goofy pop punk stuff....my favorite bands around when TOYPAJ came out were...System of a Down and Alkaline Trio. I slowly branched out from there, I had always liked Green Day but then American Idiot came out right around the time I started teaching myself guitar so I learned that whole album front to back. Blink released S/T and I loved the singles from it, I remember Feeling This being on Madden, and I played that particular Madden a LOT, etc....But I didn't really truly become an actual fan until after they broke up. I went through a horrible break up in like 2007 and knew that Blink's S/T was a little "darker" like the music I had preferred, so I went out and bought that and +44's album and they were two of the albums that helped me get through that year or two of depression (along with TDAG and a bunch of others)

  23. I assume that's "the announcement" then?

Makes me feel even better that I didn't buy tickets to the show since I already saw them play this album at Back To The Beach at the end of April.

Enema all summer long...that's awesome. Maybe I'll go to that forum show after all. Even though I saw them at back to the beach..but I really want to see that album at least once more.

On a side note...I wish they did something for the Dude Ranch Anniversary, that's my favorite album.

I mean, Enema in full might be enough for me to purchase some lawn tickets now. So that might work to get more tickets sold lol.
